After looking at the Git1 I for sure want one where I don't have to buy extras (suction cups)

The early ones had a few issues but the 0805/0806 are known to be pretty solid. Certainly, aside from me having to tweak the connectors on the base, my 0805 has been rock solid.

He's stating a fact, the suction mounts ARE larger than the 3m type ones. The camera isn't that big either.

Anyone tried this dashcam? Have the option to pick it up for £90 on the weekend. Seems like its got the basics covered as well as parking mode etc

Mini 0806 with the 24Mbit bitrate firmware. Been solid for me so far and a single 128GB card can store 11hrs of footage. It has dual card slots though so you can double that.
One quirk I've noticed the last couple of months is electronic interference in the audio stream. I don't know if it's from my car or the dashcam as it's only there with the engine running. Not intrusive enough to be a bother though as you can still hear voices, glorious engine noises and whatnot.
Out of sight, out of mind.

I've got the 200, friend has the 220, seems good enough
My 200 works for what I need it to do, record. I would take measurement of the size, it's not 'large' but if in the wrong place it can feel not small

Wrong about what? Wrong about me saying they are bigger but not huge, wrong to say you are exaggerating? Wrong to say they have reliability issues?
Am I wrong to say suction cups are larger than 3M mounts?
As for admitting i'm wrong, there have been instances where I have said "I stand corrected", but whereas you or some people would just stay silent.
I have already stated they are bigger than the 08xx, I have not argued against that, I have said suction mounts are larger than 3M mounts (fact). I have stated you can get right angle USB so it doesn't stick out as much, which is another fact, they do exist.
Are you going to admit you are wrong that suction cups are bigger?

I've got xiaomi yi dashcam and it's alright but I don't like the size/fact that I can't tuck it away.
and quality is meh-ish - I'll upload some videos later today to show for anyone interested in getting one.

decided against the git1 due to being the same/similar size as xiaomi and my mazda having a massive rain sensor that blocks a lot.

The problem I have with my camera is I can't mount it that high, the focus has a weird black-dotted section around the rear-view mirror.

The thing is that Transend or any of the Nextbase offerings are no smaller than any of the action cam, why are there so much opposition in using something like a Git1?
