How heavy are these things?
If I ordered one I'd need to get it delivered to work and carry it to and from the station.

Roll on payday is all I can say. :D

Edit - Roll on the day after I've lugged it home and my weakling arms have recovered more like :p

As much as I'm lusting over the 24" model, its price tag is well over my budget.:(

So instead I picked up the 20" Widescreen for £390. :D

Should be here tomorrow free of dead pixels and no backlight bleeding as the chap tests every screen.

Nothing to do with the 24" but I'm quite happy and thought I'd post about it :p

Shocking thing is its only £40 more expensive that what I paid for my Q17!

24" arrived this morning just setting it up now , will try and get some pictures posted when its tidy.

Anyone any idea of how to make this desktop wallpapers stop on . when ever a restart the computers windows seems to over ride ultramon and set the backgrounds as nothing . then I have to go back into untramon and re-aply the default

I think the slight sagging to the right (and it really is only slight, on mine at least) is due to the fact this is the direction it rotates in towards portrait mode (ie clockwise). The power cord also goes in bottom-right corner, i wonder if the power supply is housed in the right hand side somewhere and the uneven weight distribution is pulling slightly on the rotation hinge.

Either way it's not something that I noticed until i went looking for it.

Gman, does your graphics card fully support all resolutions?? I`m thinking about getting one, but im worried my G4ti4600 isnt up to it. I dont mind playing some games at lower resolutions as i will probably upgrade my base unit next year.

yep it's letting me wack up the res to the max on all games that can go that high. half life is on medium textures insted of high though. but it does support all the high res's

also I was worrying about the VGA for the seccond TFT but using it here and the picture quality is fine on my other 17"

you should be fine with the ti4600 mate

Some recent good pics guys thanks for teasing us all some more (bah, they love it too) Thanks also for the pic I requested too but Im a little surprised, I thought the screen would have been able to handle a www and approx 3 other things easily with not being too crowded, doesnt seem to offer that much more desktop space than the 20" from a simular screenshot I had seen but of course everything is larger.

FULLSCREEN VIDEO QUALITY?
Im very interested to hear how well this scales particular with compressed video when ran fullscreen as typical video resolutions - the panels default is if anything upto 7x greater than some video which is a lot of scaling.

Can we see up close screen shots of DIVX SVCD DVD ran fullscreen at default res then compared in lower modes were less scaling is required.

Does fullscreen video look better at a lower res, just Im curious to know has anyone tried different settings like the 1200+ or 1300+ widescreen modes common with LCD tvs.

Well due to me living in a house of deaf people I didn't get my monitor today :(
Is it Business Post that do the final leg of delivery on these monitors all over the UK? Does anyone know what they are like at re-delivering?

The web page could have gone smaller without any scrolling, but i didn't know how small to make it?

My Old 30" LCD was decent for games etc after 2 weeks use you adjust to it and its not that big, really becomes normal like any other screen youve had before. Id say the perfect size would be 27"-28" as these would fully fill most peoples peripheral vision at a normal desk/seating postion without being too much in your face.

Its no different now to when I use the projector for an approx 80" screen viewed from a 5 ft distance to 9 ft depending on the mood or what im watching. First time viewers always gasp and it is much more involving particulary with proper 7.1 audio but eventually you always seek something more.
