Ok thanks for posting.

Are you using composite connection their for the Xbox?
Noise is indeed aparent in places particulary in the red which is common but colour looks quite good. S video will improve the quality a lot regards to the noise or consider softmodding to NTSC for Component output, its miles ahead in quality terms works with most PAL games as well and no problems with "Live" etc...

I play a lot of my games on this in 480p or 1280x720 from the Pc.

24 inch just wont do at all.JPG

I keep tellin you all its almost done....

:eek:What is that? what speed in ms?

Yeah lets see some GT4 mate go on the night is young... ;)

Although I just received the the USA version and run 60Hz in 1080i.
(Waited 5 weeks for the USA Ps2 to arrive but was worth it)
Ref refresh:
1280x720 allows 60Hz 75Hz 85Hz
Response times arnt a problem.
Panasonic

The PS2 looked pretty damn good once hooked up through the component cables to my monitor (see the pic I posted a page or so back). Just a shame I can't stand GT4, otherwise I may have imported it to show off to you guys in gorgeous 1080i! ;)

Reduce sizes to 800x600 or simular.

Daddy I posted two comparison shots from a 24" Dell in one of the GT4 threads.
Showing 480p and 1080i modes.

Overall it kills the jaggies a bit but isnt what people expect err like true HD. For instance 1080i has actually something like 18 various resolution modes. The projector tells me its a 1125 line signal @ 60 Hz interlaced of course but its quite remarkable considering its a PS2.

Well I phoned Business Post this morning at 7.30 and they said it will be delivered today - so I will need to spend the day camped at the front door to make sure I dont miss it again.

Got my fingers crossed

didnt realise how big this monitor would be! still getting used to it at the moment.

tried a few HD files from the windows site, Alexander and T2 and they looked ace.

tried these games: HL2, Far Cry, D3, Tiger Woods 2005, Driver 3 and Pro Evo 4

at 8xAA, 16xAF, 1920x1200, max details Far Cry struggled slightly, wasnt as smooth as HL2.

Pro evo looks ace though, feels like playing the console version on a plasma, didnt feel stretched with res set to 1280x1024

Tiger Woods could do with a widescreen mode, would be lot better, same with D3

Those of you already with this monitor, can you confirm that if you are able to run at native resoltiuon via DVI at 60Hz, or is it running at a lower frequency ?

In thoery at least it shouldn't be possible with a single-link DVI connection so curious what is actually happening.
