*** Destiny Raid & PvP discussion thread ***

I think Ive got a firefly perked scout rifle somewhere - will have to compare it to the Crucible Rapier - must admit VoC has ruined scout rifles for me, too used to full auto! Even have a low impact full auto pulse rifle which isnt that bad...

Ive got a 331 Suros, its more I think I need a legendary primary for the many times I expect an exotic secondary/heavy will be more useful. Seems Ive spent most of the DLC time just levelling up stuff and not really paid much attention what is very useful...

Damn my FWC class items!

Im not - doing one for tonight and thats it (other one is for Saturday all day IIRC) - tbh 2 CEs a week is as much as I can be bothered to handle! Not getting the helmet I want less times is helpful :)

Ill join you on both - still need that bloody epilogue :(, so will always try and VoG it - Ill bring my Warlock for first bits of CE then swap to Hunter at the second chest if thats ok...

Also ascendant material will be more useful than radiant stuff in HoW most likely

Pit = Oversoul Edict - Arc Pulse Rifle
Bridge = Abyss Defiant - Solar Auto Rifle
Crota = Fang of Ir Yût - Arc Scout Rifle
Crota = Word of Crota - Void Hand Cannon

Times like this, where having a particular gun for a certain reason but in itself isnt great, where a hotswap button would be ideal - wish Bungie had utilised the PS4 touchpad more

Least it seems that VoC/FB primary with BH and Horn is the setup to go with if you have a blessing bubble to cover any damage (shouldnt get much if you arent the swordbearer and titan after the initial room)

Whats the best Hunter exotic for the raid? Im thinking about promoting her to 32 but I think Im limited to exotic helmets and Im guess the 'Dont Touch Me' gloves would be better?!? Did have a 36 light Achlyophage Symbiote but destroyed it cos Im fussy :p

That's one **** strat - talking more about using it for blessing of light just before you hit Crota while everyone uses the middle ledge. Only people that could be hit is the swordbearer or the supporting titan through the whole run

Afraid I can only make Sunday evening so if we can get 6 that would be great

Say 7pm? Be obvious quite quickly if we are capable of doing it Id have thought!

Only thing I'm not clear on is if you can't get 3 goes at Crota in the first pass then do you have to miss a go in the 2nd (so only hit him once through that pass) to ensure you don't accidently cause him to enrage during the Ogre sequence

That and obviously how susceptible the swordbearer is to boomer knight hits when hitting Crota - maybe we should try and stun them with a single headshot on each...

Also how can you build the sword super in time? Maybe the 3rd pass it could be used to finish him off - never noticed how much it charges tbh.

In terms of sword goes on Crota, I don't know.

Judging by the video I posted they hit him twice with each sword. The viewpoint does not shown the exact method used by the swordbearer though.

Depending on sword bearer method / choice (in terms of R1/R2 melee choice) I assume that missing a third chance on the first sword and going for a second on the second sword would be enough to trigger an enrage.

The swordman should easily get 3 hits in per round, and 4 if timed very well (for 6-8 hits per sword) but it's probably not worth the risk. I found that getting 3-4 hits per sword and using one super on either of the 2 swords was too much - he enraged at the end of the second sword.
Getting 3-4 hits per round, per sword will leave him at just above a quarter health which allows you to kill him quite easily with the 3rd sword (although I've failed to get the 3rd sword so far :( )

Ah cheers thats helpful to know - so basically business as usual and then make sure you can easily complete it in the 3rd pass. I say easily but you know what I mean...

I suspect we will foul up on Boomer knights still which we now dont want to kill but will accidently :p

One thing to definitely consider is while you can do the middle ledge trick for the Ogres it is during that matchup that Crota wonders left/right (normally left) so you have to be quick at getting them down and then getting back inside...

Still looking for one person - afraid will have to move this to 8pm to fit everyone in if thats ok. Got a good mix so can try a few methods (think Hunter invis swordman with Titan bubble on Crotas platform while everyone sits on the middle ledge is the best one. Not sure what to do with the Ogres though due to their timing)

With everything being level 33 its probably not sensible - especially at Crota where a single death is pretty much a wipe. Probably be better to go as 5 32s than with an extra 31 tbh...

Its not the damage you can give out more the damage you can take that will be the biggest issue
