Yeah, cheers all! I was happy getting one weapon and 12 shards. Definitely prefer shards to energy at the moment.Cheers for the raid tonight lads. Congrats on the rewards
All I need from the raid now is the helmet and shotgun, then I've got everything. Not bad from 4 runs. Still 24 shards off level 32 though!
Nice job on the Atheon HM finish..think we got it down now. Having right weaponry for oracles helps! Think I will get my SGA levelled
Should fit it a run with alts over the weekend....afternoons best time for me.
Yeah it was a great run finishing him off. IIRC we did it in three portal runs. We might have got it down before if it weren't for the bugs. At one point we went to "Venus", I slammed the enemies and no Oracles spawned. Then they spawned and we all died.... W T F?! Also of highlight was the 4 of us returning only to have me (the relic holder) appear back in Venus again...
Luckily I did get back in time to drop the shield for ~12 seconds of times vengeance. I'm really comfortable running with the relic now.
I'm up for a weekend alt run. My second Warlock is now up to level 31 on her own armour but I might switch out Pigtails armour to give me extra intellect. I'm also going to upgrade the VoG helm I got to give me an alternative for non CE raiding.
My hunter is also level 31 so I could run her instead. I might even have WP rounds unlocked on G'horn by then.

Indeed as always the game was buggy. Almost every time i jumped out the portal it took me back to it. I will be on this afternoon if you guys want to go for a Crota or whatever you like. Almost there to max out Vex and need to start on my magical drop of G'horn.
I am so sorry Greeboth you did the whole nightfall thing while i jumped in before you kill the boss and i ended up with the loot. Thank you for the runs man for both mine and my gf's char she managed to get to lvl 3 vanguard ( i dread leveling that thing up especially if you are low lvl).

Yeah it's easy to do in 3, 2 with WoL....main mistake at first was someone chucking grenades at Atheon
Once he settled down you can land those BH precision chains no problem. I also switched in the later runs to clearing out all the harpies before I jumped in the bubble. That was pretty funny me and apostolis joining Greeboth at the end of Nightfall and dying repeatedly for a few minutes, before apo got Gjalla :E Cheers for that.

Tip of the day : don't run through the portals, walk through them. Much less likely to glitch back in.
The majority of glitches in Destiny come from the netcode model they use, where every client is it's own authority for most stuff, and is fairly optimistic in it's predictions about what is going to happen. The glitches happen when server/client communication is interrupted and the game has to reconcile the server and client data and decide which is the truth. That 20 second pause before containment fields and oracles appeared was typical! Still....the advantage of this model is that you don't need to predict anything, if you hit on your screen, you hit.

Yeah when I wasn't running the relic (I think I ran it all three times when we took him down) I was using my Arc LDR. I would have used my Icebreaker but was already using my exotic slot for SGA. That gun works so well on the Oracles & detain shields (Once the SGA perk is unlocked). On one run through the portals I started with 54 rounds and ended up with 48 still left despite hitting every Oracle.
The NF run was funny as we could hear what was happening. I assume you were dying due to where you spawned?

Must remember to get levelling up SGA...I'm pretty confident Bungie will do something to make VoG worth doing after the next expansion....I'd be

I managed to get a few sniper rounds on the boss who was at that side and Gree finished him off. It was so much fun if you could spectate the runs it was hilarious. That happens when people try to pass through the portal together, just wait and go through one at a time.
