Ok Xbox guys, who wants to finish him tonight? I've done a little digging and I think we can do him in 2 swords. That's right, no Ogres to worry about!

If Si uses his bubble to block off the Boomers and everyone else fires a single Gjallarhorn rocket at Crota each, he should go down. I smack him 3 times, go invis, rocket him again, 3 more hits, I drop to rock, rocket again, 2-3 more hits. We should have him down to below half health with a single sword. We retreat inside while he's on the right, wait for him to go middle, then repeat.

Pros:
Only 2 swords needed
Very little chance for anyone to take any damage other than me and Si.
With the 3rd round of hits with the first sword, I can super with the last hit for extra damage.

Cons:
Timing is crucial - need to get him down 3 times per sword.
I won't have a sword to aid my escape from Crota.
We need to get the 2nd Swordbearer down super quick, which could be tricky if he's not in the middle.

Im more than happy to give it a go tonight if we get 6, Ive also watched a clip where the group goes into the room on the right where the ogre spawns and takes it out before it leaves with a bunch of rockets then kills the second one from the same room. Looks pretty safe as long as a 3-4 get there before he spawns.

Could use as a backup if we dont manage to get three sword runs in.

Just had a go solo HM Abyss as 31 hunter. Was far easier than I as I thought. Be careful to invis pass knights, don't kill ogre and chain together invisible skills. Got my hands on Oversoul Edict and 6 shards without firing a shot :)

Need Don't Touch Me gloves of course.

Deffo worth a go, I'm wondering when they left the other lad up top though. Probably to keep the thralls back. No boomers, no Crota fire....that's half of the battle done straight away!

I'm cool with doing anything tonight. Finishing CE Hard, CE normal, VoG.....Just say when and I'll be on :)

Apparently it was only due to him having low health although having someone clear a few thralls would help.

Ah cheers thats helpful to know - so basically business as usual and then make sure you can easily complete it in the 3rd pass. I say easily but you know what I mean...

I suspect we will foul up on Boomer knights still which we now dont want to kill but will accidently :p

One thing to definitely consider is while you can do the middle ledge trick for the Ogres it is during that matchup that Crota wonders left/right (normally left) so you have to be quick at getting them down and then getting back inside...

Put my name down as it would be good to finish it once. I am the same as Oweo though I can run Sunslinger or Voidwalker.

Edit: Forgot I might have to be playing taxi on Sunday. I'll go on the reserve list until I know for definite.

Any Xb1 hunters fancy giving me a hand to do the lamps on my 31 hunter, just s few shards short of 32
 
If we have 6, I'm happy to do it tonight. I'd be delighted in fact to finally finish him! I'm also happy to do it again tomorrow or Monday if there's people who miss out tonight.
 
The 3 sword method is abit hit and miss as sword disappears if you're lucky, 1 hit after the third kneeing.

The Ogre is pretty good place to do.

Both above we've managed to do damn near flawlessly using the middle area strategy earlier with Matin/Kris' lot of CE raiders. Unfortunately its the odd occasionally bad luck or direct boomer hit that causes a wipe.

I might be on tonight, if missus is not asleep by 8isj, I'll have to wait till tomorrow as 3 nights of neglecting her and I might as well be in the dog house :p

So will we say Saturday for Crota then? I've got no real plans for tomorrow so I can be on whenever is convenient for everyone else.

I was wondering this earlier, thought I would try it after I saw your post. I was amazed how easy it was, did it first try. I think it would be possible even without the gloves as they only activated twice my entire run. Wasnt lucky enough to get a weapon though

Lol, the swordbearer not knowing where to go, disappearing swords, random health regens and crota super lunges make it somewhat annoying!
