Out of interest is there an OcUK clan on PSN? The acheivement whore inside me just remembered there is a trophy for completing raids with a fireteam in the same clan, and it's ultra rare too. :p
 
Turbo was first plate every time for our run on Wednesday so I wonder if her can lend some insight into dealing with Oryx. There isn't much room on the plate so it can't be that he was doing anything vastly different to Greboth (or vice versa). Perhaps Oryx just didn't shoot at him?!

I won't be much help as I was on third plate duty (thanks to my epic ability to get lucky with RNG and hit 312) thus only had to deal with angry Ogres.... :p


On the point of raiding, would anyone be around tonight to help me smash Atheon (NM for a laugh) & kill the Groundskeeper for the No Time to Explain quest line?

I would like to try and get this done before the TV is taken over by Halo... :D

Well this is part of why it's annoying me. I have done first plate before and apart from some splash damage at the start when he fires at the relic runner it's usually smooth sailing from there he never looked at me again after that. There was one time he shot at me when I went to go detonate my bomb in front of him but that was a while back and hasn't happened since.
 
Is there anyone about who can help me complete a normal mode raid from Golgoroth tonight. Every time I have done the raid it has been with a few people who haven't done the raid so we have never got past golgoroth before having to give up due to time.

I'm 302 light and have decent weapons (don't have ToM obviously and don't have spindle) but should be able to knock off the last few bosses quite quickly with an experienced team.

Would love to try and finish this off but I guess your after people a lot better than me lol

First time I've been called a her but hay :p On Wednesday's run I was getting hit by Oryx but it was only on the odd occasion, but enough to put the heath bar into the red, and it always seem to be just after the relic was taken. The only thing I can put it down to is as I was heading to middle first was Oryx losing argo on me at that point, and sonny was doing the same on Wednesday night.

It was my first time running up and down the corridor last night, as I'm normally round a platform or down the front. The issue I had is my timing was off on the turns so I nearly always got hit by the back end of one bomb at some ooint on the run, and then one hit from a boomer and game over :( I will get some normally Oryx checkpoints and get some practice in before next time.

So after weeks of trying to complete the raid I have managed to do it twice this week.

Feeling much more comfortable with the mechanics now (although still need to understand Oryx a little bit more with timings etc).

As there hasn't been many wanting to do the raid today then I guess I should cancel it but happy to set one up for Tuesday.

lol, nah, I just want to get it done and I'm pretty bad at leading teams as far as I can tell so I just want to get it done. You're welcome to join. I would be a massive hypocrite if I was at all elitist because I am a super average player!

I've set up a raid for tomo evening on 100.io but doing normal mode. Think I'll be ready for the hard mode next week myself. I'm still available for tonight's raid je11y and will be around for the tues night one above.

ha ha, I would love to join but doubt the Mrs will let me have the TV till after 10pm tonight any way, would be happy to have another go Saturday, Sunday or Monday though :)

btw, I thought you were pretty good leading, don't put yourself down. I thought we did ok on the boss sections, just jumping was tough, more so my brother lol

edit: If you manage to get enough I could always take the PS4 upstairs to the smaller TV

This is what everyone says, I think I should save the clips of everytime Oryx shoots me and make a weekly montage :D

I will be on Destiny but I don't quite know what I shall be doing but if you need a hand send me an invite and if I am free then I'll join.

Well given that it is currently just you and me signed up for the evening raid it is probably best to cancel.

Funky can't make it till at least 11pm (has to work)
HairyHen said he might be on but not till later.

So it probably easiest to cancel.

I have actually signed up for a raid via 100.io myself for 8pm so will be doing that instead.

I am purely running this now to get more comfortable with the mechanics of the daughters and oryx. Managed to run the raid last night in under 2 hours so hoping I can run it quicker tonight.

I'm sure my brother vinman66 would be available if you can't get anybody else. Do we all have the same checkpoint?
 
I cruised through hard mode with an LFG group last night up to Oryx and they decided we were doing the no knights strategy. It looks to me like a total mess of a way to do things with ogres running off all over the place and no one really sure what orb they're meant to be running for.

The group were flabbergasted when I suggested we just kill the ogres and shoot the knights. :rolleyes:
