DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

I paid £15, I'm still on the fence about it. I'm currently not in the position to pour endless hours into a single game so I'm still unsure I'll get to the stage where I'm enjoying it.

For me I think its greatest driving game I've ever played. Even above nostalgic delights like Gran turismo and ridge racer. It's soooooo hard and I barely finish any tracks I start. Because if I crash I ain't fast enough. So I restart over and over. Countless times.

I've barely touched the surface.

Dont you get bored with the constant restarts? I find after a few goes I just start to lose concentration and get worse rather than better, then I have to switch it off.

At least with project cars I can actually race and compete, finish races, improve lap times etc..
 
Well just fully upgraded all my cars its taking 535hrs=30dys solid playing.:cool:

Now l can relax for a few miniutes while l have a cuppa.

The Pug is a beast:D but the 037 is Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde with Sister Hyde thrown in bam you think you have it tamed and bam she flicks her butt round causing mayhem.:mad:

For the beginners drive smooth, don't go flat out so you can finish learning the stages at 1st your speed will pick up as your skill improves.

As for bends/corners in slow > out fast, again as your skill improves you'll go round faster.

Then after a while starting using the scandinavian flick once you have mastered that, handbrake turn, see the tutorials in dirt.

The best thing l have done is put the handbrake on the gearshift on my DFGT, its a lot easier to use for handbrake turns.

The Boss loves this game she has the telly all to herself and she even brings me cups of tea+biccies.

So l can play as much as l want get waited on, game of the year as far as l'm concerned.:D
 
now you upgraded all the cars pue the game has just started :p

hmm what to do today fancy some rally.might try some rage inducing lancia 037. on wales :D
