DiRT Rally Hits Steam Early Access

if you add people from here you can compare times. at end of rally /track you can then check the leaderboard which gives your global position and shows friends positions also.

remember there is a very hardcore group playing this. so dont get to upset if you off the pace for a start. work at learning the cars and then the tracks. then start to push.

your well good:)
are you playing with sterring wheel or controller?
im on a G27 and i cant get no where near that time! your ACE :)

trusty logitech DFGT.tried many wheels and i just like it.:D

cheers.now its cooled down and starting to go into winter lots of dirt rally to come.

did this metro 6r4 run for the daily. such a ace car but many dont drive it as its slower and more differcult than the other group b cars. its way more fun though. :p

would be great to get some stages we can all do different cars have some fun like in f1 2016. plenty of us here to do it.

all we need is a track/stage and car and 1 week to do it.

Dirt rally for me is still the top driving game, l still do the Daily, Weekly, Monthly on line stages.

This is definitely were you have to crawl before you can run apart from having to learn the stages and learn different driving techniques. This makes it especially hard for the beginner not having the patience to stick at it.

If all the driving games were easy to do where's the fun in that it would become boring.

If you are a rookie stick at it as you become more skilled your times will drop as well as the dreaded road rage. lol

What other driving sport lets you drift round corners, do jumps flat out and has surface changes all in one go, none.

Can't wait for Dirt 2.:D

I agree with all of this. Recently got into Forza and it's very nice but the driving experience in Dirt Rally is just something else.

EDIT: However, I didn't play it for more than a month, I'd absolutely suck now;p

That's why l at least do Daily, Weekly, Monthly on line stages it keeps you in the zone.

l always warm up first by doing the Daily stages in custom before doing the real thing.;)

Not like some who let their son drive for them to get world records, he uploads a lot of videos his last one was a Metro6R4.:p

Good point, I'll try to stick to at least that that.

I always do dailies blind, which is not terribly wise , but usually manage to end up in the upper-mid/low-high and mid-high when I have a good day and some luck;p

There are times, though, when I completely **** it up;p

It's amazing how we lose the speed by not playing regularly. I'm terrible at the moment.

haha my son is on cs all the time so no dirt rally for him :D

i always do daily blind.often this ends in car wrecked but i think this was the idea behind them.

changed my wheel settings recently and seems to made it even better ingame.

Right Rally fans don't forget the WRC round has started in Wales channel 5/11.50.am Sunday is showing the highlights of the first two days.

Just seen a clip of the action Sweetlamb and recognised it start away.

This year Wales has not let us down it lives up to being cold wet and misty should make things interesting.

Anyone recommend me a good set of wheel and pedals for this ? would love to see I handle the game with them, I mean it gives the best immersion and more realistic driving right ? money ? as long as its not 2 crazy, but I would still like something that doesn't feel like dirt cheap, thanks !!!

budget is key.

best starter budget wheel would be a logitech DFGT if you can find one.

then up from that something like a logitech g29 or ThrustMaster T300 RS

one of those should get you started.

This game does run very well on even simple hardware!
:o what is your point?
I tried different settings:
Steering Deadzone: 0% Steering Saturation: 40% Steering Linearity: 0% Throttle Deadzone: 0% Throttle Saturation: 95% Brake Deadzone: 10% Brake Saturation: 95% Soft Lock: Off Center Steering On
Vibration & Feedback: On Self Aligning Torque: 45% Wheel Friction: 35% Tyre Friction 45% Suspension 45% Tyre Slip 45% Collisions 60% Soft Lock: 100% Center Steering 100%
Wheel is much more responsive and sharp, but I'm still looking for better settings.
