though there is tax in america right ? so the prices cant be that far off.

Tax isn't included in the prices on the sites as it varies from state to state. So it's £212 + Import Tax and whatever else we get charged with. £229 seems likely.

Sales tax in america is per state so those are like without tax prices. But still some states have no tax and states that do have sales tax pay around 8%-10%. Then you have all the rebates and discounts and choice.

Still looking around £210-£280 that's not including any first come first served tax ;)

And seeing as 3Dmark, vantage get specific driver optimization & the 5xxx is on beta driver while the last gen has had 3Dmark, vantage optimization over there life.

Anyway gaming performance is what matters to me, not benchmark performance.

Oh & Crysis a game that scales badly & still on beta 5xxx drivers.

their replies are out of order, whether in the rules are not to rip into some one because he using some txt speak is out of order. look in the common decency rules.

im am interested in buying one poss the 5870 2gb version if the results prove to be true and is a good card now to have,but im thinking and reading about it all is it worth buying one now or late next year as there's no games that are dx11.

there's to much conflicting reviews as minute and i wondering whether to go with buying a gpu,would you really notice a differance from a dx10 im not a fan boy of either card makers,just want a card that will play any game out there with max performance for longest time without upgrading.
