just been reading from chiphell that the RV870 (5870) will have these specs:
1600SP 256bit 80TMU's 32ROP's
1600SP 256bit 80TMU's 32ROP's

$299 is around £182 here i think, but i can't see them being that low, so id say maybe £260, or anywhere inbetween that and £300, doubt they'll be much more going by how the 4800 series were priced.
if they are competing on price with the 5870 vs the 285 i hope that still means it is going to be a powerful card.
if thats the case I ll would say £400 for the Nvida card, I rember what happened with the GTX280
1600 SP's?
Possible fake?
I have a feeling that's 2x800 for the x2. 1600 stream processors would be awesome but I doubt its real.
5870 highly competitive with the gtx 285? i would have thpought they'd be aiming for much higher performance. not much use upgrading i feel unless it is significantly faster than the 285. then again if they bring out the 5870 x2 version it will be almost as fast as the 295 mars edition for less than half the price and with dx11. then i'd upgrade!

well its about what I think (£250) I m guessing the Nvida will be over £300
That dropped in price to sub £300 after HD4870 launch though, depends on competition, always has.
