DX11 and presumably more consistent high performance as it shouldn't have the plethora of issues associated with XFire or multi-core Graphics cards.. oh and it should be a cheaper once the prices have stabilised.
Oh yeah. Forgot about that

Dumb question but why should I buy a 5870 if the 4870 X2 is the better card?
Apparantly it is, it should be up to a 295GTX hopefully.
If that's a true claim by ATI, I really cant wait to see the 5870x2's in October!
Think i'll go for the 5850, the 4850 started at around £110 and it now like £75.
The 4870 started way higher than that and it now like £90-100..so that is like £70-80 down the drain..because when i buy it i like to sell it for £20-30 less so it doesn't break my wallet after 1 year of use.
The 5850 will hold it's value better then when new cards come out i'll sell it lose £20-30 and then buy a new card, best to wait 2-4 weeks or more for the prices to drop i think or wait for nvidia.

Going by the prices the HD5870 lowest price will be £220 on launch day and the HD5850 will be around £140 I'm thinking when its launched....
Fancy myself a HD5870
what does it matter what the cooler looks like you can't see it anyways normally unless the PC sits on your desk
Not sure where you get £220 from fella, the prices Ive seen say $400 for a 5870, when you convert that and add vat you get ~£280.
Just a random guess looking at cards on Newegg and the prices of them on OcUK.
I can't see any prices for 5870 yet?
