Fud has some info up,
5850 = 1440 shaders @ 725MHz, 1000MHz GDDR5 $299;
5870 =1600 shaders @ 825MHz, 1300MHz GDDR5, $399
5870x2 needs some polish time before they can launch it.

They also say that 5870 at load is 180W, but only 27W idle.

Launch date (in shops) 23rd Sept.

I hope the reports of it using 27W at idle are true.

Wonder how much the memory bandwidth will hold it back?

I can't believe those scores are true if the other graphs on the page are to be believed, they are showing a 295 getting 25fps average at those settings!
