Fud has some info up,
5850 = 1440 shaders @ 725MHz, 1000MHz GDDR5 $299;
5870 =1600 shaders @ 825MHz, 1300MHz GDDR5, $399
5870x2 needs some polish time before they can launch it.

They also say that 5870 at load is 180W, but only 27W idle.

Launch date (in shops) 23rd Sept.

I hope the reports of it using 27W at idle are true.

Wonder how much the memory bandwidth will hold it back?

We have known for weeks that the 10th would be a paper launch, i.e they release details, they have now confirmed the hard release, i.e availability in stores, as the 23rd.

I can't believe those scores are true if the other graphs on the page are to be believed, they are showing a 295 getting 25fps average at those settings!
