Dishonored 2

So do you have GSync set to "Enable G-Sync for full screen mode"?

I can't get the game to run in full screen, I change the setting in the menu, and it keeps reverting back to borderless.

I have just dropped all settings to Low to see if I cant get a good framerate, it stays around 70 but still feels like absolute ****.

Enable GSync for fullscreen only. When the game boots, alt-enter to windowed and then alt-enter again. Gsync then works and its in true fullscreen

Really getting in to this now. Spent 5 hours playing and only on level 3. However the positional audio, especially dialogue, is beginning to annoy me. Keep getting instances where the volume of certain sounds and/or dialogue suggests NPCs are in the same, next room or area. Additionally I'm also getting instances where there are multiple NPCs talking at the same volume level making it difficult to make what exactly is being said!

Just played the first mission and really not impressed with performance.

Okay my specs aren't the best (2500K, 290X, 8GB) but I stuck with the recommended settings it chose of all medium. It didnt start too badly, varying between around 80 and down to 40, not great but playable, though it didn't even feel very smooth at the high figures.

There was a weird spot early on where I looked into the throne room and it dropped to 10, but other than that seemed okay. Then I got outside and found several places where it dropped to around 20 making it unplayable in places, especially with the mouse movement somebody else mentioned when it happens.

I just don't understand how they can make a sequel that looks worse than the 4 year old original whilst performing so badly. I had no problems with the original, it looked better as well and I was running it on an older graphics card, and there are plenty of games that look much better than this that I can run well.

Original didnt look as good as this. Nowhere near in fact but you are running it at low-ish settings and comparing it to a game you probably played maxed. Playing on ultra pretty much @3440x1440 and its a very nice looking game in parts but more to do with art direction and design over "MeGA TeXTures!" :)

Alt tab out and set priority to high at the beginning of each level and that greatly improves performance

Yeah I'm sure it looks great on ultra and I am stuck playing at medium, but the point I'm making (badly) is that at whatever setting I happened to be running the original on, it looked better and ran well.

I'd forgive the performance issues if I was running it at a level that looked impressive, but as I say I've played a lot of games recently that run well and look a hell of a lot better. And yes, I'm running those games at high setting, but I can and they run well.

Thanks for the tip about priority, I've just read that elsewhere as well, though I may wait for the patch and see if there is anything they manage to do.

No problem. Apparantly the patch will sort that out. I do get what you are saying though and they did say it would take quite a beastly PC to max it but I have a feeling the patch will ease a lot of problems people are having

I set my game to Borderless Windowed Mode and now I can't get it back to "Fullscreen mode". I change it, and it says to save the settings. I click OK and then it's back on Borderless Window Mode!

Normally something I could fix with an .ini file change, but not seeing one in the documents folder for Dishonored 2. Anyone been able to fix this issue?

Happened to me too. Just press ALT+RETURN ;)

SLI users... people are reporting improved performance using the Witcher 3 bits 0x080020F1. I tried it and it introduced ghosting but turning antialiasing down to fxaa (high) sorted things out. Getting 90% usage on both cards now and a significant framerate improvement.

Great news, thanks. Thinking about jumping in to this :)

Oh absolutely, I wouldn't expect to be able to max it out, just hoped I could at least have it run as well as the previous game while looking as good. Anyway, I'll wait and see what the patch brings.

Hope the patch does sort this... Game is cheaper on CD Keys and as I enjoyed the first one and its DLC I think I'd like this game. I like stealth games.

TBH I think my 980ti with g sync would be fine anyhow. G Sync helps so much, I don't think I could game without it now : - )

I'm loving this game except for crashes to desktop every 10 to 20 minutes.

I've the latest Nvidia drivers and i've experimented with different settings but it seems so random.

I guess there is a memory leak somewhere. I hope they will address this in the first patch so i can continue playing.

Have I missed something or are there no keys for turn left/ turn right ?
I've only played for an hour but turning seems to be by side stepping with strafe and steering with the mouse which I find rather awkward

Fun game, damn shame they did not spend more time on quality assurance. Every time I go to certain areas in the game it crashes.

Going forward I think I will go back to what I used to do. Just wait 3-6 months for the game to go half price and by then the people who have paid full price will have done the beta testing for me :p

Wow, are you from the past? :D

Surely no one uses keys to 'turn' since the 80's? Mouse, or gamepad.

Well I'm running on ultra max res scale @1080p no performance problems in FPS a solid 60 at all times but the textures in this game my god do they look rough. Arrived in the city and looking at the landscape in the background houses they are jaggy beyond belief and I'm not talking AA issues i just mean lazy design or a bad console port.

I'm convinced its the game and nothing to do with graphics but I'm wondering if i should check in nvdia control panel and see if there is something to tinker with and improve as it happened with BF1 and the dodgy antrosopic detail issue.

But in 2016 a game looking like this is **** poor and I'm not overly fussed on visuals over gameplay.

Another rant is the controls on KB there are so many of them you keep missing keys i don't think the binding for PC was thought out well at all.
