DLSS Momentum Continues: 50 Released and Upcoming DLSS 3 Games, Over 250 DLSS Games and Creative Apps Available Now

I'm not a developer by any stretch but after experimenting with enabling ReBar in the Nvidia driver through Nvidia Inspector I noticed textures would take much longer to load in than when it was not enabled in Spiderman Remastered... maybe, Again not a developer, FSR2 in this title is also enabling ReBar ?

Rebar is completely separate thing to upscaling tech but yeah could be down to rebar maybe, not sure if bang4buck has it enabled for this or not on nvidia side. I was wondering if it might be a FSR upscaling thing but there is no way it would render textures like that.

Quite interesting I thought, obviously dlss reigning supreme here but notice the vram usage difference and more often than not, textures are loading in slower or not at all on amd side.... Maybe a game issue though?

A picture paints a thousand words.

not only is there a significant difference in image quality, but also a significant difference in power draw

That's why I'll always advocate for game's supporting all upscaling technologies. People who ask for FSR only in games are crazy fanboys, if FSR could at least get close it wouldn't be so bad but the difference is large enough that I only want to use dlss

That could just be down to gpu architecture. If FSR has a massive increase in power vs dlss on a 4090 then I'd agree there's something up with it.

Man puredark owns. DLSS FG in skyrim with heavy ENB 3440x1440 DLAA 120hz maxed out. Smooth as butter. Without FG its at 70-80 fps on my 4090. Haters really dont know what they’re talking about :)))

Starfield will be nice as well even with the unofficial DLSS support.

i have recently played through Hogwards and the texture pop in post patch is awful. It seems it doesn't take into account your harware and scales on the fly

If I was cynical I would think, Bethesda is a studio wholly owned by Microsoft and nvidia have an awful relationship with the parent company due to past collaborations. Then I don’t suppose there is much of an impetus to put any of there technologies into a single game engine. Especially as Microsoft has a very good relationship with their main competitor whose tech is also in Microsoft’s console.

Microsoft and Nvidia are working extremely close together on various things, not to mention their partnership on open ai.

It's pretty obvious who is the culprit here in the absence of Nvidia tech ;)

There were also instances in that video where textures on NV seem blurry. It looks like the game has bugs and randomly picks the wrong level of texture. I think that is what has happened to that page in the book, rather than it being FSR related.
See the table texture here.
That said, the NV one was better. Check the texture on the arm in the opening cut-scene for example. Much better detail on DLSS.

Obviosuly 24GB vram is not enough! :D

It appears that PureDark who did the DLSS3 mod for Jedi Survivor, The Last of us etc... has apparently received a review code, Or access, For Starfield according to a post on his Discord and his BillBill page, He posted the following on Bilibili:

"9月1号解禁时准时出星空的DLSS2+3的mod"

or in English:

"DLSS2+3 mod for Starfield coming out on time for Sept. 1 release"

Yeah. Was mentioned in the Starfield thread. But apparently it ain't free this time? My guess is it won't be long until someone uploads the files online for free anyway.

None of his mods are free but a £5 patreon fee to have access to all mods is decent considering it takes work and he updates them

I heard he wanted a hell of a lot more than that. Lol. I think I was reading that just before falling asleep as I missed the maybe in that post and thought he maybe being serious

Also Resident Evil 4 DLSS was free.
