When someone suggests FSR:

It appears that PureDark who did the DLSS3 mod for Jedi Survivor, The Last of us etc... has apparently received a review code, Or access, For Starfield according to a post on his Discord and his BillBill page, He posted the following on Bilibili:

"9月1号解禁时准时出星空的DLSS2+3的mod"

or in English:

"DLSS2+3 mod for Starfield coming out on time for Sept. 1 release"
1 guy adds this relatively fast, but a studio with hundreds of people simply can't. Pure **** show.

But you know they can.

They are just not allowed... :p
That or they don't care. AMD and nVIDIA have sponsored Far Cry for a long time, even include in the menu their tech names like Eyefinity and Sourround, but somehow they haven't really tested the thing since you're forced to play with a vomit inducing low value FoV. Of course, Far Cry 2 runs just fine, by default, on multiple displays.

Same thing with Bethesda. Oblivion was fine on multiple displays, but going forward they've fu***d their engine so it doesn't support it by default. In a way is understandable, they're console first, PC last (although PC keeps them relevant and a talking subject over the years through mods).

Black Myth: Wukong - 4K DLSS 3 Boss Battle Reveal

One of the comments was interesting -

There was a in-person demo event yesterday in Hangzhou where they had this game running 60fps 1080p low settings on a 1660, and 60fps 4K max settings on a 4070.

There's no FPS counter showing any info with before/after DLSS3 being enabled but if the above info is correct this should be nicely optimized.

It's cool how the bosses have activated hard modes, I don't knowing it's the same for all but I saw at least one of the bosses of you kill it too fast it gets enraged and activates it's hard mode version

Immortals of Aveum as the first unreal engine 5.1 and makes full use of Lumen and Nanite runs like sheeeet

7800x3d and rtx4090

Game settings: 3840x2160 resolution (Upscaled from 1920x1080 via DLSS Performance Mode), max graphics settings

Performance: 60fps average, with 1% lows of under 30fps

May lord have mercy on PCs if this is an indication of a typical Unreal Engine 5 game using Lumen and Nanite. Having to upscale from ultra low resolutions just to get 60fps on the fastest GPUs money can buy

More details about immortals of Aveum

Sound like minimum GPU to get 60fps is an rtx2080 and that's for 1080p with dlss on and graphics settings on Low

Also it can't run on handhelds. Game crashes on SteamDeck and on ROG Ally it runs at 3 to 5 frames per second on lowest settings

And even with an RTX4090 the drops to under 30fps in 1% lows makes the game feel choppy.

Probably the most demanding game ever made

Runs like ****, looks like ****. But don't worry, give it a few patches and it will run sweet on a 3080!

Or just buy a ££££ with more vram to brute force through issues, oh wait, even that won't work now.....

This is exactly why I didn't go with any gpu this gen, they are all going to **** the bed with UE 5+, no amount of vram will save it either, going to have to rely 100% on frame generation and if your base fps is <50 fps, well have fun
