I really didn't like the look of Matt Smith when he was announced, and he was my favourite doctor. My immediate reaction to Tilda is bleurgh, but not as she's a female, but just her general "look".

Hopefully that means she'll be great

My initial reaction was "But Why?" You just know this is going to be a half baked idea with no real importance and most probably a wasted idea. Just think of the return of Gallifrey or the Master from the last 2 seasons, both opportunities were brought back and then immediately ****** away.

Doesn't this just open up a can of worms in trying to say every appearance in the revised series is the alternate dimension ones?

I was quite happy for this to be a TNG Klingon thing where we just pretended they had the decent costumes all along.
