not a good experience with DPD OCUK organised with them to deliver my package last on the van so it would arrive after 4pm.

Next day they arrived at 9.15am good thing my room mate didn't leave for work till 9.30am or I would have probably been angry at them.

I prefer City Link imo, they always try to deliver a good service and they always listen to there clients.

What are you on mate?? If you want your parcel at a certain time then PAY for a TIMED delivery and not just a standard nextday.

I've read this thread and some of you are a bit perfectic with your request.

I work as a courier and like most I want all my stops delivered on average I have about 10% of my deliverys as failures where no one is in. This is very frustrating for me when you know your parcel is comming nextday delivery!!!!. I know DPD will delivery to any address the sender reply's either home work etc, But wont leave with a neighbour unless the sender agrees to it.

But for those of you that cant be pleased all the time DPD will be texting/emailing you from october 2009 with a 1 hour delivery time slot.

Other couriers like DHL UPS Citylink etc wont have this service for years.

After checking the finance of theses top couriers companys DHL lost £60 million last year, and city link are lossing 1 Million a week, Only UPS DPD & FEDEX are making money.

well to be honest i would have paid, they just said its no problem so hey why would I expect anything otherwise? if they said its no problem but I will need to pay x amount, I would pay x amount cause i need it for those times.

So whoever saying yea no problem and just like acting like whatever and puts it through as normal is an *******. You sir are also an ******* for jumping on peoples posts before knowing the full story.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to add one to the "bad experience" column. I sat in all day awaiting the delivery of my OCUK order, having just checked the tracking site I see this under the event status;

"Unable to deliver, insufficient time available"

What a waste of a day...

Good experience here, ordered rig at around 6pm on monday, arrived tuesday@ 2pm :D And I live miles and miles from ocuk :)

Packed extremely well by a Polish man it appears, but all my vouchers are missing

With the appointment of this new courier I ceased to be an OcUK customer. The reason for this is that they do not deliver next day and only the option is an expensive 2-day delivery which is classed as 'DPD Two Day Parcel - Scottish Highlands, N. Ireland, Isle of Man & Channel Isles' which is laughable if you knew where I stayed, their depot is actually closer to me than the other couriers. The free delivery I was previously entitled to has also disappeared.

With the increased delivery charges I now face, OcUK is no longer competative on price or service with their competitors. It is a shame really as I've had nothing but good service in the past having used OcUK since the days before you could even have an account on their old website.

I should point out that I've tried to resolve this in the customer service forum which managed to get the 2-day service as an option added as prior to this I had no delivery option with DPD, unfortunately given the cost it is not a viable option. Despite ceasing to be a customer I do wish OcUK every success in the future :) .

I've just seen a DPD van turn around at the bottom of my street and then **** off! If that has my package on it, he'd better be coming back later on in the day, I want my GTX275!

EDIT: Got it now! :D
