*****EGOSOFT TNBT (X Rebirth)****

well i have been waiting on steam to get back to my support ticket for a refund, i have not heard any thing and i put in the ticket on monday :(

started a new game of x3 ap, its hard to beleive its the same developers.

Been playing more of this, gotten to the "Trying to get my freighter to buy energy cells" mission, got my freighter there, wish me luck in getting it to actually do anything! Any tips?

the work around is to open the save game in notepad search for "<shopping>
and delete the order between <shopping></shopping>

then issue the command again and hope it doesnt bug.

get used to editing the saves to add drones and stuff to your ships you will need to do it often

Lost it rather embarrassingly at work not far into watching this and had to close it, might watch the rest when I get home - "PEOPLE LOVE QUEST MARKERS!"

Breathing a sigh of relief at not buying before reading reviews, have installed TC & AP until further notice.

Thats 5 patches in 6 days, i know from past experience Egosoft games are buggy at launch, but i think there setting some kind of record with X:Rebirth.

but they are crap patchs barely fixing anything and half the time not fixing what they claim.

now look at some of the mods done by a single person in his spare time and they make egosoft look like a bunch of incompetent jokers.

someone made a mod so it actually says what your ships are doing rather than "trading with nil" it will say stuff such as "flying to station" " trading with station" etc

Makes you wonder why they didn't sort this before they shipped the game broken and destroyed their reputation (and a lost a lot of sales).

I won't be buying another Egosoft game in the future. Won't affect them, but will benefit me in my pocket :p

I'm going to be a little more charitable and say Egosoft are allowed one mistake. They've made some awesome games in the past, and there's a good chance they'll make awesome games in the future.

At least they are patching quickly and not leaving it for half a year.

Has anyone using a joystick? Have you got any bad deadzone? I purchased a saitek fly 5 for arma 3, works perfectly there but in xrebirth there is an insane amount of deadzone.

The game doesn't really support joysticks it's really only supporting gamepads. The lack of configuration options in the "joystick" tab is the give away.

Meh :( I guess I will have to wait. I have an xbox 360 controller, would it work better in the game?

I prefer just keyboard and mouse tbh. I think it was freelancer that actually got me into using those for these types of games :)

Although it can be nice to sit back and relax with the controller!
