Eight months later - R8 Delivery day!

Yeah I bet that sounds awesome, just don't fancy doing it to my 2 day old car!

I can bet!

Plus I bet you can mod the stock system so the valves are always fully open maybe and disable and noise restrictions. ;)

What I did on the 911, it is on stock PSE, but with the valve mod it is at full volume all the time as sounds glorious without being obnoxious and still maintaining the classic flat 6 soundtrack. :)

Plus far cheaper as cost £0. :D

Yeah you can put a bung in one of the pressure pipes that controls the solenoid for the valves so they stay open.
May try that at some point to see how it sounds!

Just disconnect the electrical connector, that should de-pressurize the system and keep them open. All you have to do on 911 anyway, might be same for yours as it works from a pressurized system as well.

Have to remove some covers in the engine bay and put a vacuum plug in a hose on the R8.

Apparently though you lose some low end responsiveness but I may try it anyway, can always put it back.

I'd definitely go the plug in the hose route as with any Audi now if you disconnect any electronics your dash will flash and beep like it's xmas.

I can do this on the W12, disconnect the hose from the actuator either side and put a plug in them. Sounds great but like the R8 the W12 also apparently loses a bit of low end.

Also gotta think about it as they spent so much developing these cars, the exhausts are like they are for a reason, they are finely tuned to work perfectly in balance with the car, start messing with it and you may gain in one area but lose in another.

Nicest looking TT I've seen so far.

:p

Joking apart has anyone said this to you yet?

Stunning car, doesn't scare me as much as a 911 (Which is a good thing IMO)

Yes, took the finance deal, 11k dealer contribution, trade in GTR at 53 odd, 3 years 600 something and 40 odd at the end. OTR price with the contribution was 115k so with interest total payable will be back at the full 126k.
May pay off some of the loan amount next year so I have some more equity in it and less monthly but it isn't an issue.

Nobody has said TT yet but then I haven't stopped to ask!
