EDIT: This is not the only reason i wont be buying a paper anymore, all the stories about brittish soldiers in Iraq is the other reason.

some people are seriously bored to do things like that.. if true. i was really looking forward to the prospect of scolari as manager... tis a shame, i was wanting an england shirt with Big Phil on the back.. would have been a bit of novelty :p for myself
 
Bloody press.

My girlfriend's dad works for The Sun. They live near Rooney, Wes Brown, Van Nistelrooy etc.

The other day, Rooney apparently bought a new car so her dad went and sat outside his house waiting for a chance to get a picture with him in it... Pointless attention...

Really do get sick of the media. They go so overboard with attention...

Pity about Scolari.
 
Probably for the best tbh, imagine if he'd have accepted it and come over here then he really would have found out about the british press! Better for him to drop out now if he cant hack it than leave us up **** creek in 3-4 months time.

Shame though as he's a better candidate than the other guys in the frame.

Seems the suns turned its attention to Mclaren now with stuff about affairs he's been having! Bit of luck he'll back out now as well :p it really should be Martin O'Neill out of the people left but whoever it is knows that they are second choice after this balls up by the FA.

Sky news says its because he simply didnt want to extend his contract any further so they decided it was best he go now.
 
Apologies if i'm asking something that has already been talked about before, but am i right in thinking that the only reason Sven's been pushed out is because he got set up by the NoTW reporter? The 'fake sheikh' that got amusingly owned by Galloway on ch4 news a while back after trying to entrap him as well?

I think the whole thing is atrocious and we've only got our media to blame. I'm not surprised Scolari said no, hell i think the rest of the managers in line should just say a big fat no and give two fingers up to our press. They started the whole thing and are now drawing out the whole incident right before the tournament. Its absolutely ridiculous going into a World Cup expecting to do well, if the manager already knows he's out at the end. And it's all the fault of some idiot reporter?:confused:
 
British media make me sick...i really feel sorry for Sven over that faje sheikh thing, i mean what were they trying to achieve? and now they have done it again!! useless idiots always causing problems. if i was Sven i would ban doing any press conferences for these fools, and just concentrate on the footy. It will serve them right for being t**** and messing up England again and again.
