English League & European Football [27th Mar - 1st Apr 2010] **spoilers**

Ah you villa fans make me laugh.

A Carling cup final (which you were cheated out of), F.A Cup final semi final and 4 points off 4th place

What does it take to satisfy you?

We're not on about the Carling Cup or FA Cup, we're talking about the league. We've had good cup runs, which is fantastic. However, it's annoying year after year to be in contention with a decent Premiership finish and blow out around March. Getting beaten 7-1 is not acceptable for any team, let alone one that's safely in the top half. You spend £20m on backup players, you don't know what it's like :)

Jesus this is painful to watch. Blow the final whistle now please. :p

We keep thumping the ball up the field and losing possession.

Wise up Gustov, they got a penalty which they scored from. They had the next 84 minutes to try and win the game being 1-0 up. They couldn't beat 10 players at Villa Park against Man Utd only a few weeks before. 'Cheated out of' my ass. It's funny how you only appear here when Chelsea thrash a team.

Even I've had enough time to admit we didn't deserve to win. I know what he's getting at but what's the point dwelling on the potential red card now, it's done and it will never be changed. **** happens in football, you take the good with the bad. We might have won 3-0 with the red card, we might have gone too defensive and lost 4-1. You'll just never know :)

Wise Up Linoge. You should have been down to 10 men which even Ferguson has admitted was a sending off. Regardless of the league game, a cup final is a completely different story.

Secondly, I'm usually only on here when Chelsea lose. Something I've stopped doing because it's like talking to a brick wall with the amount of Liverpool, United and Arsenal fans on here.

Dazza, with regards to spending money, remind me how much you've spent on the likes of Milner, Downing, Ashley Young, Heskey, Warnock, Delph and Dunne?

Chelsea really haven't purchased many players in the last 2 years. The only ones that come to mind that cost a substantial amount of money are Zhirkov and Malouda.

Sounds like Fletch just hit it straight at the keeper? (listening on 5 Live)

Useless game by the sounds of it... but we're still top

Well, he hit it to the side of the middle, it wasn't a great shot by any means but the keeper had to dive for it, which lead to him spilling it for Berb :p

I agree. :)

I would have had no complaints had Vidic been sent off, I've just grown tired of some fans giving the impression that the only chance Villa had of winning was against 10 men. They found themselves in a brilliant position being 1-0 up after 6 minutes and didn't make good use of it.

See above.

Fair enough, I can understand those frustrations. Looking forward to seeing united win the league after Arsenal's slip up today.

The difference being that Villa can only afford to send £10m+ on players who will break into the first team (almost) instantly and make an impact.

While Chelsea can fritter away millions on players that will only be fringe players for most of the season.

The players you've mentioned generally don't cost more than £12m or so, and weren't all bought in the same season - Heskey for example only cost Villa £3.5m :p
