It is surprisingly easy to tiptoe around trouble as a solo, particularly on that map.

Well the tasks in the game currently as supposed to be side quests in the finished game. Not sure what form the final game will take. I’m level 43 and still got a ton of tasks to do. Yeah that’s the one. Half the battle is even finding 3 PMCs now that Woods is a lot bigger. I know the best bet is to try and get a kill early by rushing spawns but even when I’ve done that, I then struggle to find anyone else.
It used to be quite a struggle even when woods was smaller, you just had to hope folks were going to hit the main camp.
I remember powering through when it was a mosin only challenge for a few wipes. Unpopular opinion but I wish all the tarkov shooter tasks were mosin again, too easy to cheese with a DVL - apart from part 8 of course.
The last time I got kappa I managed to do part 8 without resorting to a thermal, quite proud of myself on that one
That was with the woods expansion too, right place/time/etc

Healed, got to logging and then tapped a PMC pushing Shturman before getting him too.

Nice. Nothing to lose going in with a Mosin so you can play aggressive. I’ve been using either the Mosin or VPO. Haven’t touched the DVL yet. I've just unlocked Jaeger. I can now put a red dot on an SKS and use a 20 bullet magazine. Oh and the **** shotguns are now available.

Problem with that was there was zero reason to bring out a bolt action rifle unless you were role playing or dowie favourite (larping) as a sniper. Even this wipe bolt actions are still pretty weak.
Maps just don't have enough foot traffic on ranged areas to make sniping that much fun.

Anyone still playing? I have lost a bit of interest of late but I am trying now to get going again. Just hit level 18 and am mostly running RFB with silencer and M80 ammo. I prefer night runs on Shoreline now, the problem is when I kill PMCs they are too far away for me to be certain they are dead and even when I look for the bodies I cannot find them. And cultist keep killing me.
