Regardless or whatever

Who doesn't want to have cleaner seas? Cleaner air ? Reducing pollution is a good thing PERIOD. Anyone who deems it not is a fool.
Yeah, it'd be a damn shame if we achieved all that for nothing.

like many things, the longer we leave it the more drastic an action we must take. of course you'd like to beleive we as a species would solve the problem but lets face it as with everything we do we're going to walk blindly into it fingers in ears whistling away until the only option is the extreme.

Something I'm learning more and more every day :(

Science is a cult now? If anything it's the opposite - kids brainwashed into critical thinking, rather than the rigorous application of the scientific method.

Yeah I mean thanks to Kyoto we have lovely air full of diesel fumes that cause disease and actually kill people. There was plenty of actual evidence that a post-Kyoto dash for diesel would be suicidal for the nation's health, yet it was ignored - why?

There are other threads for discussion of climate change. Please use them. This thread is for the discussion of the GE result.

Why has the thread been closed twice with threats of suspension for behaviour like the above but nothing is ever done about it, you've got the same posters coming back daily just trolling/baiting and ruining any decent discussion.

Decent discussion?

Have you been under a rock for the past 7 years, its amazing what's happened under David Cameron and the sequel with May is much the same.

Watching the news the BBC/Sky etc are joyous that May has been weakened in negotiations and that the EU will be able to shaft us but if that's the case it just makes leaving with no deal more likely.

Would this be the same BBC that was accused of being pro-May and anti-Corbyn in the weeks before the GE?

The reality is that the BBC is Pro-government. There is no government, so they can be truthful for once, everyone bar May thinks she's a sacrificial lamb or a joke, so the BBC is just going with popular opinion.

Of course they're joyous. We live in interesting times and there's a lot of interesting, fast-paced news to pad out their 24/7 news coverage.

I'm wondering what May will do once formalities like the Queen's speech are out of the way - I think she is gonna lash out at those that stood against her.
