Factorio on steam

What's with the tutorial? Go mine some iron it says. Sits there holding rmb for 5 minutes. Forget it!

Make a pickaxe.

So I wasted 2 hours figuring out what to do in main game. Now I have one conveyor belt in a loop with everything on it.

Hardly a waste.

When do the aliens show up?

Either by stumbling upon them or when you create enough pollution.

If you're this impatient then this probably isn't the game for you.

Oh god, just watched some videos. I CANNOT afford to own this. I have to remember to sleep and shower and go to work and so on.

Do it! Just remember to eat because I forgot when I first played it.

40 hours in and just getting into bots, logistics networks, blueprinting and taking the fight to the prawns. This map has limited stone and oil resources forcing me to expand faster than I would have liked... which is a good thing! This game is awesome.

Loving this, it's hugely addictive, long time since a game properly got its hooks into me. Couple of very groggy mornings in work this week ;)

Does anyone know if you can put explosives on something and make it go boom?

I have a vision of laying train tracks into a prawn nest using a tank and then sending in an exploding train for maximum lols...

Somebody please help me. I spend my days at work thinking about conveyors, belts and factories whilst my nights are spent building conveyors, belts and factories. If you have even an ounce of OCD in you, avoid this game like the plague.....

might help if you even knew what OCD was.

If that's the worst thing I get wrong this week, then I'm really happy.

Besides

"Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental disorder where people feel the need to check things repeatedly "

Close enough to my behaviour when playing this fantastic game.

For those who have purchased this game and have had this for more than a month, do you still feel that this was a smart purchase and that you will be going back to play this game or do you feel that you're no longer interested in playing this game and have moved on?

TY

I've moved on and probably won't play it for a good while now. However, I had almost 100 hours from it so it was most definitely worth the purchase.

I like to try and get £1/per hour out of a game so at 76 hours even though Im tiring of it it was a great buy.
Im considering starting a new save too with maybe a few mods to change things up.
Multiplayer on this game is a must I think it adds a lot to it. I could create a OCUK factorio server if there was demand.

This game is great. I've had to dig up and rebuild half my base twice now due to figuring out how to make it better.

Me and friends got a server too and we all play on that together. It's great fun and everything goes up really quickly. One dude has done walls and turrets made them all look nice and concreted everywhere, one dude has sorted out power with lots of solar panels and accumulators, and I've been working on getting the research automated. Needs some tweaks though to make it slightly faster but know what to do.
