Faulty Palit GTX 1070?

Yeah, they're gonna test if before they start offering you remedies. Gonna be in a bit of a pickle if it's broken for you, but they can't replicate the issue.

It occurred when using a benchmark or playing a game. Seeing as I'm not the only person to have been affected, I think it's a safe bet.

I had this kind of issue with my GTX460.

Bought from here. Installed (replacing a HD4850). Crashed under load (after about a minute of benchmarking). I was told by Overclockers that I could return it, and they would test it. If no fault was found, it would be returned and I would be charged the delivery cost (and I seem to remember there being a testing fee, but I can't remember for sure). Rather than risk the time and expense, I took the card to a friend's house to test in his PC which I had built for him. Cheaper PC than my own, with a cheap power supply, so I was doubtful if the card would work properly anyway. It worked fine in his machine, even with a mild overclock applied to the card. Took it to another friend's house and tried it in her PC, worked perfectly. Put it back into my PC and did a clean Windows 7 install. Same problem. Put my old card back in my PC, that worked fine. Thought it was my PSU, replaced with a spare one, still crashed.

So, has anyone any ideas what the problem turned out to be ?

If op is confident enough(bearing in mind mistakes/conflicts/incompatibilities can be overlooked) in their self testing, it's perfectly reasonable and within his rights to reject it for a full refund if they indeed find no fault their end.

Urgh there is a massive thread on another forum of people getting the same problem with Palit 1070s across the whole model range where it works fine for the first 1-2 days then dead or massive artefacts. Dunno how I missed it before though it is a pretty new thread.

Wish I'd done that.

Although I doubt the cost of return delivery would probably not be refunded.

That doesn't sound good. :(

Can you post a link ?

Link please? I'm definitely not getting another Palit if that's the case.
