When it comes to monitors, I think Dell are head and shoulders above the rest for warranty policy. I'm pretty sure Samsung do swap-outs too (or at least did the last time I had a Samsung monitor that needed repair).
I'm actually more disappointed in OcUKs response (or lack thereof), especially having seen them take ownership of other issues with manufacturers. They basically brushed me off because I made my initial complaint after the initial 28 days and said I had to deal directly with LG.
To top it off, DPD have messed up the collection of the faulty monitor now for 2 days, last Thursday and today when I've stayed home from work expecting them to show up.
Yup, if I had more time I probably should have gone the small claims court route to force OcUK to take responsibility, especially around the lack of the on-site warranty as the monitor had originally been advertised as coming with.
As soon as the repaired monitor comes back (assuming it has actually been repaired), it's being sold. I know that people say stuff like this all the time, but I really can't see myself buying an LG monitor ever again unless there is clear evidence that they have sorted out their customer service and warranty processes.

Almost every written experience of LG warranty returns for their monitors has been abysmal - there's no reason to buy an LG over someone else like DELL for that reason alone. If it dies on you, or doesn't work properly, you're on your own unless you DSR it.
