Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn

Is that something to do with the HM version? ^^ - I know theres a nail thing you have to DPS half way through. last time I did it I couldn't really get to it without facing him in the direction of other players, but DPS seemed high enough!

Ah, that's the word I was looking for! Nails, not Javelins :p I've only done it as a healer, but it seems that no matter how many times the Tank and I told the DPS to prioritise destroying them, they'd still just focus on the boss "for deeps" and we wiped so, so, so many times.

True story, on one dungeon I was told to DPS the adds to stop them breaking through a wall, so I DPS the adds that were trying to break through a wall. Was hailed as a hero for listening to instructions.

I have to say the first 3 dungeons are boring as hell and I never want to go back there.

Another mmo that lasted for 1 month only, I have managed to clear the whole content (except 2 hm which I am not interested in due to latency issue).

The biggest issue for me is the latency issue, very often you get hit by aoe attacks even though you walk out of red circles in time - you get hit about 1-2 sec after you are out of the red marks, this has never happened in any other mmo ever.

I don't see many people playing this game in 3 month time.

Last mmo I played was SWTOR which I think was overall a much better mmo even with its issues.

Eh I didn't even last a week. Played the early access thingy and stopped playing after 3 days. Combat was wayyyyyy too slow.

Not found anything else I enjoy of this genre for a while so will play out another few months. I wont be running out of content anytime soon either as gone are the days of sinking hours and hours into these games.

Just did my second HARD trial and it was a breeze, much easier than the normal mode. Then went for HARD Titan and uuhuuu, this fight is challenging, not something you can do in a pug really.

I disagree... Mostly because of expectation. People expected SWTRO to blow them away, however, when they realised that it was nothing revolutionary in the MMO stakes they left in droves.... This game on the other hand has not been hyped or claimed to be 'the next big thing' I think FF XIV will carve out a niche in the market providing 'quality' content is released in a timely manner. I don't expect it will ever set the world on fire but I think it may well build up a loyal following of people who enjoy a modern game with a slightly old-school end-game... At least that is what I am after!

That's certainly the same for me too. Used to love coming home from work and sinking 4-6 hours into gaming per night! ... Its all this Real Life business that's getting in the way!

Anyone else finding the mouse camera sensitivity is screwed up since the patch today ?

Never had a problem using my Razer Naga mouse till today, now the sensitivity is way way too low and changing the slider in the settings does nothing :( I have to swipe the mouse across the pad 3 or 4 times to do a 360 at the minute :(

any heads up on the cheapest source of buying the standard game pls?, best prices i've found so far are greenman gaming with coupon £16 on DD or shopto £12.85 on disc.

thats probably about the cheapest I reckon. Think I paid around £18 from Amazon?

Correct, playing at 1440p and sometimes fps dips to 40 when in town, not good enough I say. Turning settings down isn't an option.

haha, love it! :)
