Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn

Graphics look polished, with an interesting class system, but what high-level and end game content is there at launch? The release isn't far off and it appears that jobs haven't even been tested yet?

There's content available up to level cap plus 4 and 8 player dungeons for level 50s. There are also hard mode versions of the earlier dungeons. There will be 24 man raids available but I can't remember if its shipping with them active. The higher level stuff has been tested to a certain extent - remember they have a ton of level 50s already (legacy players from the original launch). Whether there is enough content long term who knows...

Fridays open beta (Saturday for none closed beta people) will have the first new class the Arcanist. This class is a summoner / pet class. It has two jobs (specialisations) Summoner - DPS. Scholar - back up healer / support.

I've been a long time player of FFXI, FFXIV 1.0 and in the Alpha and Beta Test for ARR (2.0)

I am beyond excited to get my character finally up and running again tomorrow

I take it registration/download for non pre-orders will be up on the main site after the OB weekend goes live tomorrow for pre-orders,or will it be saturday?

Don't think it's been confirmed yet, they just said 17th for register so you might have to wait until Saturday morning which seems a bit crazy!

Do you guys know which server you'll be playing on with open beta basically being launch? I imagine some of you will be using the legacy servers?

So Square enix's website/account setup seems the rather odd.
When I log into eu.square-enix.com it shows that I've bought FF XIV ARR, but it doesn't tell me anywhere what my Square Enix ID is, or even how to change my password.
For that information it appear I need to go to secure.square-enix.com (which I found after searching on how to find out my square enix id), once logged in there it show's me my Square Enix ID and a whole host of other options.

Very strange setup, can't say the way it generates a Square Enix ID is the best idea either...

Think it was legacy 1.0 players that were auto added into the beta phases. If you weren't and didn't already sign up you can't get in until tomorrow.

That looks like the right link yeah
