Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn

http://www.polygon.com/2013/6/11/44...g-in-2014-for-ps4-includes-transfers-from-ps3

I'm sure what this means. Is he saying that the PS4 version will simply work the same as the PC and PS3 version, in that you can use the same character on these systems, or that you can somehow move over to the PS4 version for free?

Sounds to me like they will allow you to transfer your game from PS3 to PS4, but I am probably wrong :D

What is everyone getting this on? PC? PS3? I have a quick question, if I get both versions, do I get 2 free months?

You just type [ youtube ] followed by the snippet of the URL following the "=", then end it with [ /youtube ]. Like [ youtube ] 3H90I39KdCU [ /youtube ] (minus the fullstops and spaces of course).

Thanks for the link though, will stick it in the OP :)

Aha! Thanks! Edited post :D

You are welcome!

No problem :D and to answer your previous question, I'll be getting this on PS3 as I already own it on PC from the original release (that way I can be lazy and play it on the console when I feel like being a couch potato). Not sure about the 2 free months - would have thought the free period would be tied to a product key as normal, but since both PS3 and PC versions share accounts, I really don't know!

Ah, okay thanks mate! I was only asking, because Zavvi are selling both versions very very cheap, <£40 for both of them! Would be good to own both for the reason you say, sometimes I would like to just lay in bed and play or something!

http://www.zavvi.com/elysium.search?search=a+realm+reborn - Link for anybody interested!

It's even cheaper on ShopTo if you're interested :) I added a smattering of product links in the OP some days ago so the prices might have changed around a bit by now, but I think ST still have the cheapest offerings.

Yeah will be rolling on Odin, ill add you on Steam and give you a shout on Saturday or something.

Awesome :D I was on Odin in FFXI so that's a good fit! Will be sure to log into Steam if I get a chance to play it this weekend - is the client available to download on PC yet? Figured I could leave it running while I'm at work for better results.

Checked Shopto, works out a few quid dearer than Zavvi! Will keep an eye though!

Ah, whoops :p looks like they are stocking the PC version now at Zavvi though (they only had the CE for PC before). I think ST are still cheaper with the Collector's Editions though so I think I'll cancel my pre-order with Zavvi (and ST are offering early access and bonus content, Zavvi don't seem to make any mention of it yet as far as I can tell).

How long is Early Acess? The usual 3days?

Afraid I don't know how long as the only places I've found say "Access the game servers ahead of the official launch. Get your head start and make your mark in the realm of Eorzea!" in the product description. Hopefully some news will crop up regarding the length (or someone else here might know).
