Former Russian double agent seriously ill in Salisbury.

It wouldn't be murder.
If you kill the wrong person during an attempt to commit murder, it's still murder.
IIRC that's been the case for decades, if not centuries, as your original intent was to kill, thus there is no manslaughter when you shoot at one person and kill the person next to them, or in the next street.

Dawn Sturgess RIP.

Murder inquiry launched. If it is proved that a Brit has been killed by a foreign state on British soil then things will change.

Don't worry, the UK government which is well known for being "tough" and "decisive" will surely find a way to completely ignore this ever happened and bury it under a long 10 year investigation, all the while their grandees includes the darkest possible funding from Russian agents. London is built on Russian money, and never let anyone else tell you otherwise.

But that's alright because, commie corbyn or summin, lets never do any sort of self reflection on the issue of a corrupt government that acts only slightly above a fascist mafia state like Russia itself or Turkey, those two great countries we aspire to copy.

So what can be done?
Russia will continue to plead its innocent, just like when they brought that plane down, and even if more evidence arrives pretty much proving it then they will still claim they are innocent just like the plane.

Maybe this pandering to Russia has gone to far, maybe this time the UK and international community will actually do something. what though? dont know.

well that's Salisbury town centre businesses ruined, its been struggling since the first attack, even free parking didn't work. cant see people being keen to pop in now
probably somehow another contaminated site or missed in the clean up?
I went in over the weekend, seemed pretty busy to me, plenty of people milling around, tourists about, all the shops had queues in...

They weren't trying to kill anyone when they dumped whatever they dumped, however long before or after they tried to kill the Skripals... so I'm not convinced it'd be murder.
Yup, it's unlawful act manslaughter - the unlawful act being the possession/dumping of a nerve agent that contributed to a death.

It would be murder if someone else had touched the handle (or whatever it was) that was covered with the agent to target the Skripals, but you couldn't prove an intention to seriously harm or kill whoever stumbled across a discarded object several weeks after the event.

so as a heroin addict she may well have have had underlying health issues...plus its likely they may have ingested it or actually injected it thinking it was somethign else? rather than just surface contact

I am surprised May is capable of going shopping by herself and picking up nice bottle of red for under a tenner, never mind being tough and decisive.

Probably stark raving bonkers but i would not be surprised if this second attempt was not a left over but a purposeful attempt to add more misery to the UK government by Russia. They know full well it is in complete and utter mess atm. Our special relationship is about as special as taking a sparkly turd left on the lawn by a cat after eating a bucket of glitter.

Pretty much we are on our own, the sooner our idiot government wised up-to this the and deals with Russia by freezing a crap load of assets and preventing any of the chumps coming to visit the better. Screw Germany and their dependence on Russian GAS, we need to act economically at this impoverished backward nation.

I wouldn't be surprised either if these two were purposely exposed, Putin's playing his game a bit more (we our innocent of all accusations, why would we want to kill these two?).
To be honest this malarkey is enough to cause us to cancel Brexit. Putin wants to stir up trouble in Europe/world and Brexit is helping achieve that aim.
It's like one big joke atm. The so called leaders of the world(USA) have a president who shouldn't be there, and there's possible Russia involvement in that. We're waisting a lot of time and money on something that barely won a dodgy vote (Brexit), now dealing with Russia and this stuff distracting away from Brexit.
If we're no careful we could easily end up in a really bad place with all this IMO. Ie, poor man of Europe that nobody wants to deal with - Britain. Sure, Putin would absolutely love that!

And what about England's dependence on Russian gas? What happens when winter comes?

I suppose Mr Putin would hand out the trophy so that would be an ignominious moment ? .. hand-shakes on the front of pravda etc.

the police have never really indicated any ongoing search/leads for assassins, or re-demand for public help ?
