Former Russian double agent seriously ill in Salisbury.

is there any indication that the investigation really delivered this result today ?,
or is it just a childish revelation timed to queer the trump/putin meeting, like the 12 Russians Mueller just indicted.

This guy's brother is saying it was a perfume bottle, something the police won't confirm or deny.

This thing just gets weirder and weirder. I am starting to wonder if this chap had something to do with the original incident.

Doubt it. I think they were bin raking. Tbh it's the kind of thing I would, I mean sniff a scent.

I wonder if by "perfume bottle" he means "atomiser". That would make sense.

Didn't bother watching it but I saw a video promoted on YT recently of modding something like that for painting use with directed spray which would be more applicable for stuff like that.

EDIT: Can't find the exact video but it was similar to this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLT4IMUYdyU but didn't use a spray gun.

It's possible that it was discarded, and later found, elsewhere. One of the couple was known for skip-diving/bin-dipping, apparently.

Particularly alcoholics tend to have hideaways in parks. These are places close to shops to buy drink. They need somewhere to go to drink that is out the way of the police. There are hiding places all over Britains parks. Places only they know about and places that are usually pretty hard to find. I am guessing that the person who did the assassination attempt discarded the dispenser close to a hide-away and the woman found it there.

You know one thing has puzzled me about all this. Why isn't the assassin dead? I mean the cylinder was apparently lethal and it seems almost any contact is lethal, so how did they survive?

Like their home?

Why would they need a park?

Did think that but then I would think the risk of self contamination would be very significant to the agent deploying it.

yeah, you wouldn't have thought that you'd want to be spraying a mist containing lots of tiny airborne particles of deadly nerve agent around

I don't think you're right to assume that that simply touching the container is lethal, quite likely the assassin wore gloves too. I'd suspect that the drug users who found the container haven't just picked it up but perhaps examined it a bit more, opened it (putting them in contact with the agent) or could well have sniffed it etc..

How come it's so slow acting? according to many articles Novichok is 6-8 times more deadly than VX nerve agent and 1 drop can kill up to 10 people (more if inhaled) but in both cases the victims were exposed at an earlier time and place.
