aas I've got gamepass I'll give FM a go but I really don't see me liking it. A big part of the fun for me was upgrading the cars just for the pure fun of it.

So are there now two currencies? Credits and car points? So now they can flog us two currencies to buy with real money?

Think I would much rather buy car upgrades with credits rather than have to use a crap car to get car points before I can upgrade it for the race series I originally bought it for. Why remove that flexibility?

I would literally been happy with FM4 again. I still play it on my 360 and will probably buy a series X at some point so I can keep playing it with it's upscaling business it does.
 
Sadly the more I see of this and the early previews given to content creators, its looking less and less interesting to me.
I really think this will end up being a game pass only game for me. At the moment I just dont see anything that really pulls me into actually purchasing the base game, let alone the ridiculously extortionate premium editions. They can go suck my ***** if they think I'm shelling out £90 for this. I feel for me this will very much be a suck it and see type of game.
 
I wanted it for the single player, which should have made it an easy choice... Not touching GT7's poor excuse for that.
No surprise to hear that Forza is going to be ruined with dual currencies though. It's difficult for anyone to release a game that isn't ruined in some way these days.

100% not a day 1 purchase. Perhaps a day 365 purchase, when it's on sale and they've patched away whatever causes backlash.
 
Very disappointed in how it looks, 6 years to develop this from the ground up my arse. It looks no different to FM7 apart from slightly brighter lighting.
 
Been Looking forward to a new FM for years now, but must admit Ive not seen much about it apart from "its in development" but watched a gameplay video last night and I must say I am rather put off by this car point system, my ethos for most car games is to race most cars fairly stock as I find most cars end up driving the same once modded, but it seems FM is leaning into the modding side of things, which is a little disappointing
 
I was really looking forward to this... But why are components locked behind car progress? And multiple currencies... This reeks of microtransactions

probably... The engine sounds in the videos I've seen so far seem like no progress has been made since the last forza motorsport game too... I'm not convinced the graphics really moved on much either.

Think I will wait for peoples reactions to the game on here

Done the intro in my lunch break with a quick trip to New Zeeland.
Out of the box its pretty good, FFB is light on CSL-DD but that can probably be tuned in messing with the settings.
Running absolute maxed on PC with full on track raytracing and its ok, the options will take some messing around but i just turned everything to full and uncapped the framerate.

Think its the start of a good platform, though the AI can be a little aggressive off the start.

Was there are built-in profile for the fanatec stuff, wont have chance to check until get home later?

Just finished work and thought I'd do a bit of travelling as well, heard that New Zealand is lovely this time of year...
Unlocking files now. Will have to make do with game pad till later this evening. However if I can at least get through the intro sequence I'll be ready to get stuck in when I can get settled later.
