Fuel up/down again

Likewise, although mpg doesn't bother me in the slightest tbh as I don't do a huge amount of miles per year anyway. I'll either cycle most of next year or use my other vehicle which despite hitting 60mph in under 3 seconds and nudging 170mph still returns @40mpg. ;)

I haven't got that level of 2 wheel power at all, but once the salt looks to be off the roads for sure, I'll be glad to get my ER-6F back out where it belongs. The car can sit idle on the drive all summer.

Since i sold my lpg'd bmw i havent been to the local business that provided all my fuelling needs which at the last time i filled up was at £0.49pl. However today i was driving past and had a look at the price and i was shocked, it was now at £0.70pl. A 40%ish increase! There be rage somewhere.

I'm now paying £1.39 a litre for texaco super unleaded so a full tank in my scoob is now costing £83! All that for 180 - 220 miles! Thankfully I now have a 306 dturbo as a daily driver, still costs £70 to fill up but when you're getting 500+ miles to a tank it doesn't seem so bad.

they seem to keep it around half the cost of unleaded around here....40% increase and yet still one of the cheaper options :/

123.9 at the sainsburys in Mansfield, 2p cheaper than everywhere else, highest i've seen is 128.9 at a Shell garage a few miles away but is located just before the M1 thieving gits.

Still cost £85 to fill the tank, but should last me a month so doesn't bother me too much, the sound of that sweet V8 is worth every penny.

This combined with high insurance means motoring is fast becoming a thing of the past for many people.

:(

Not happening for years to come, it'll get many years before we see any reduction of cars on the roads.

But the worst hit are young people with low salaries I imagine.

The thing is that once you are 25+ and have your driving license for 6+ months then the insurance cost less than £1.5k (still a lot) for most for a normal car.
