Fuel up/down again

the price of petrol is seriously hurting my bank balance now tbh. like reallly bad, when i got the 6 i was fine but now thats prices have gone up like 20p a litre since i had it im pretty much ******

I find the Texaco and BP Stations the most expensive - but the Supermarkets are able to supply fuel normally at Cost - because they can make back the money in the store.

I'm filling at the Sainsbury's today because my Red Fuel Light is being intermittent and it's a penny cheaper than my local Shell garage.

I payed 134.9 pence per litre the other night, I've now started driving slower, got a average of 64 mpg on the way home from work ( 20 miles @ around 50 - 55 mph ), mind you it was midnight which makes it easier to do a constant speed.
Tell you what though if fuel gets to £1.70 a litre I will start using my push bike for work ( 20 miles each way )

131.9 for Tesco diesel here. That includes their 5p off voucher, as they (unsurprisingly) put the price up 5p when the scheme came back a couple of weeks ago.

I know its tradition for BP to be more expensive than anyone else but ventured past the local ones today and was shocked at how much more they are than anyone else. A whopping 8p a litre more than Morrisons & Sainsburys which are about a minute drive from them & 5p more than the local Shell. Needless to say nobody was filling up.

It always used to be 3ppl more to cancel out the EDP voucher. Hadn't noticed it going up beyond that but I'm not surprised.

I managed to almost run the Punto out of fuel and had to fill up in Thetford  I was almost considering re-mortgaging the house! £1.33.9 for regular unleaded in Sainsburys :(

Whilst my commute is relatively short (3 miles each way) I tend to go home at lunch if I have the car. Since I started biking in on days that I don't need the car for work I've noticed my fuel spend drop considerably because the car tends to do decent distances at least once every day that it is used now. Plus it means that about 90% of my miles are done at 40ppm now

Just filled up. It came to £54.64.

I averaged 55.44mpg this fill up - I've covered 497.6 miles on 40.8 litres. So I probably had at least 60 more miles left before going to empty.

But M1 & M25 Traffic is so hit and miss that I didn't want be caught short.

just went past my local filling up station shell by work and its £1.30.9  its gone up 4p since i last went past as i've been stuck in the house for over a week :(

**sigh**

WTF, went to work this morning and garages were stating diesel was 1.39.9 ppl. Get back home 10 hours later and it is 1.40.9 ppl. It won't be worth goin to work soon.
