Games you're playing, and games...

With all the excitement around Forbidden West, and seeing how amazing it looks, I've spent the past week or so getting back into HZD. I bought it fairly soon after release and played a chunk but then got sidetracked by something else and never quite had the urge to go back. I'm really glad I have, although a few design decisions show their age a bit it's a fantastic game and the world is so much more vast than I realised the first time.

Still looks great too and 60fpsmakes for a really fluid experience.

Having finished Horizon II, thought I’d check out Persona 5… but 97 hours to complete the main story? Ye gods. I don’t like the sound of that.

I’ve played it through twice. Put some hours into it, see how you feel and go from there? While there is some obvious padding in the game to make it longer.. it’s still fantastic and well worth playing through.

by the way. Not really a spoiler but just in case ! …

If you get the Royal version, be warned, if you want the real ending you have to get two specific friend social links to maximum before a certain point in the game. And there is no going back :) edit , unless you have a prior save far enough back

I was playing RDR2 but lost interest after a few hours. Coming straight from Days Gone, that felt more fast paced and I really enjoyed it.
Playing Black Mesa on the PC now and weighing up if I should get a PS5 or Xbox Series X next....

Days gone is great, did you enjoy it ?

Loved it. One of the best games I've played since The Witcher 3. I'll never understand why it got negative press, there's so much to do and it's challenging without being near impossible.

Have decided to play God of War instead of Persona 5. I never finished it on PS4.

I wish Ubisoft would hurry up with their Assassin's Creed Origins 60fps patch. I have Odyssey waiting in the queue.

God of War didn't have a chance to get loaded before Shadow Warrior 3 popped up on PS Now. What great fun! I've never played the first two but it's just the ticket.

Rdr2 on chapter 6. It's good but too long

I loved RDR2, never did finish all the stranger quests and hunting missions and such though, the only thing that let it down for me was the gunplay and how janky it was, and all the silly over complicated stuff like storing weapons in the saddle bag on the horse. They really could have simplified some things.
I know its unlikely to happen but I would give it another go if it ever got a next gen update, 60fps would be so much better. Im not sure what it is currently I presume 30fps.

Really? If so then it's a shame that they removed the best feature of the second game, 4 player coop:

Why do developers keep doing this? Doom, Halo, and now this all removed coop. Do developers think we're all a bunch of anti-social recluses?

No but I think you personally fly the co-op flag a lot more passionately than any other gamer I know. Take that as a compliment if you will, it's not meant negatively. I enjoy doing things with people, gaming is absolutely not one of them. Used to enjoy it when I was a kid though.

Same as above, I do enjoy doing things with people but I am a solo gamer, period. I hate it that certain games lock me out because they are couch co-op only. A Way Out and It Takes Two for example. I mean it makes sense because that's how they're meant to be enjoyed. It's just a shame that I will never be able to play them because they do look really good and both get high praise.
