Games you're playing, and games...

I've been playing Dragon Quest XI S on PS4 Pro lately. All the DQ games being added to PS plus has been pretty awesome, as I was about to buy XI and Builders 2 on Switch, no need now!
Been a while since I've played a JRPG, and this feels like an old school game, in fancy clothes. Liking it a lot. I'd only ever played the first Builders game on Vita.
If you’re looking for another great jrpg, play Persona 5 Royal. It’s probably one of my favourite jrpg’s ever - knocking FF7 original off my top spot! Be warned it is a long game though..

Actually listening to the OST right now :D

The amount of time it'll take to finish is the main thing that I am not enjoying.
I'm just under 20 hours in. Not sure I'll manage to see the end of the story, as I tend to change on to other things after about 40/50. Will keep trying with this one, as it is a nice world.
Hopefully you can stick with it until the end. Even speed running it I couldn't imagine finishing it in much less than 100 hours. However, the story is well paced and it never became stale or boring for me.

The OST is amazing.

The OST is amazing. One of my favourite JRPGs, too. But yes, another lengthy game.

Final Fantasy 7, but doing it full cheat mode on Switch with battle boost and x3 speed enabled. Left random encounters on as that helps with the XP grind for materia. Only really doing it for nostalgia as I originally played it back in 97 on PS1 the proper way and sunk over 200 hours into it. Going to take a while to breed that gold chocobo though as I want to get Knights of the Round materia again just to watch in awe as the 1 min animation unrolls each time you unload it and then use mime materia right after :)

Gonna defeat the weapons too ?

The Callisto Protocol. I utterly hate the combat which has made me stop playing it. For a triple AAA game it's a massive disappointment. The story is boring, the environments while pretty are non interactive. For example a small trolly at less than waist height, can't climb over. A broken robot, swing your weapon at it and it just passes through. Just meh.

Far Cry 6. Played it on release then bought it again in a deep sale a few months ago. Loving it all over again. I blasted through the story last time now I am just exploring everything and taking my time. The islands are beautiful and I loved the Stranger Things missions. Was unexpected and really well done, if short.

I've got this game in my backlog - I managed to grab a ps5 disk copy for £25 used from vinted back in August (I also got dying light 2 for the same price). I'm looking forward to trying it. I have Far Cry 5 for the xbox and I have started that and it's pretty good so far.

I got a refund at release as I was struggling to get into it, but more because of the full price, wouldn't mind trying it again though, think it was in a sale recently, will have to check.

Looking back at PSPrices it was £20.07 for the Deluxe Edition in November. I felt that a decent price for the game plus the season pass so went for it knowing that I’ll want to give it another go at some point. It was a little glitchy at release but all that seems to be sorted now.

Had a longer session of Ragnarok yesterday and got through Vanaheim. Will continue today.

Have a few comments regarding some stuff but I'll reserve that for a short review after I complete the game.

LOVING my replay of Kingdom Come Deliverance, really hooked again, and finally have Henry at a point where he's not completely useless and I have to run away :D
