Games you're playing, and games...

Returnal is a joy to play, the gunplay, atmosphere and audio are all excellent.

Enjoying Judgment as well, as per everything Yakuza, and the game somehow has the option for JP subs and menus which is fantastic news for me, I was sure it wouldn't.

Also got hooked on GT7, I have to say I've had more fun in the driving school alone so far than I had in something like FH5. Simulation-oriented games are just so much more involving, taking corners at ridiculous speed without consequence gets old fast.

Done all gold up to IA, including that pesky IB-10 and a couple of golds in IA now. The final licence is going to be nuts:p

In fact, I like the core driving so much that I've just bought the physical 25th Anniversary edition despite getting the game bundled with my PS5, not really sensible but it was discounted so:D

Way too many games to go through, will focus on the above to see which will hook me in the most.
 
Been playing Sniper Elite 5 at the mo, took a little getting into but once I got comfortable with the mechanics of the game it's quite satisfying sneaking around taking out all the bad guys. :D

Yeah, it was a decent game - best in the series imo, and the Invasion bit is fun; though I had it turned off when I clocked the campaign, but I've invaded a few other people's games since and you feel a bit bad ending their mission with a headshot or grenade - especially as I managed to get the same guy 3 times in a row :D
 
I'm level 25 now and the only thing I managed to kill was the boss in a boat lol.

Ended up in some really difficult trap thing too. Cloud of mist from a chest teleported me somewhere I got my ass kicked.

I chose a Vagabond and I have no idea why :)

I never got along with Dark souls or bloodborne really but this thing has hooked me hard. Think I've been on since 5pm and it's now near 11pm.

From memory you end up there naturally later on anyway but you’ll be suitably levelled by then. It’s a great lol wtf moment when it happens!
 
Triangle Strategy on Nintendo Switch. Very heavy on the dialogue but if you don't mind a lot of reading, this is a great game. It does take a couple of chapters to really feel like it gets going with any real action, which is probably so far the biggest downside.
 
Currently working my way through God of War: Ragnarok ; hasn't hooked me in the same way as the 2018 game did but I still think it's a very well crafted experience. On the side I'm playing Chained Echoes via Game Pass - it's a 16 pit pixel-art RPG ( has a JRPG feel to it but made by a German developer ). It really is a hidden gem.
 
Been dropping in and out of a few games:

Cyberpunk - mopping up some more side content

Rift apart - enjoying new game plus

Death stranding - only ever played it on PC, forgot how stunning the game is to look at and what a funky experience it is.

All on PS5. Quite enjoying all 3 having completed the main stories previously and so just pottering around in them.

Trying not to buy anything new in anticipation of a few new games releasing this year.

Decided to give Tsushima another go. Enjoying it much more this time round.


I find it strange the default for sword stances is set to toggle, opposed to holding the R2 button. Changed that immediately.
 
Started playing Jedi Fallen Order or as I call it - BORElen Order.

After 3 planets of platforming and jumping, and platforming and jumping and platforming, killing a few stormtroopers followed by more jumping and lame puzzles I am done. I do have a sense of pride and accomplishment though because I have about 50 light saber skins and components which mean jack really. This feels like a crap version of Uncharted with a lightsaber and little else so I am pretty much done I reckon. Onto Returnal later tonight - it isn't my sort of game but at least I can hear some of the great audio I've been hearing about.
