Games you're playing, and games...

Currently playing Jedi Fallen order. Enjoying it so far, I like the challenging combat but the lack of fast travel is driving me a bit mad! It means I won't be continuing playing after completion to try to get missed collectables / platinum. It will just be too much of a chore navigating through those maps

Next up on my list to play after this is finally the Witcher 3!

Viewfinder - if you like first-person puzzlers that play with your perspective you'll definitely like this. After five minutes on the PS5 demo I was sold and was playing it most of last night, it's great.

Absolutely blown away by Bloodborne! I can see why this is the masterpiece every says it is, I adored Elden Ring but without the open world nature of it, it really is a case of you have to push on, look for shortcuts - its risk vs reward - entering a new unknown area you just don't know whats lurking about! Mix in the gorgeous art and audio/sound is stunning, I was always hoping for a ps5 update/remaster to really give it another go, but playing it now as everyone else has experienced it, it does look and play really well still

Managed to kill the Cleric Beast last night, after a few goes!

Bloodborne is ****** amazing and everyone should try it, I got into Souls games because of it and before that I had been in that crowd of "I played a Souls game for 30 mins and it's boring, what's so special about it?" while playing samey, hand-holdy AAAs full of checklists.

Unfortunately, the best things require a bit of getting used to them:P

Once it clicks with you, there's no turning back.

You should try Sekiro, it's the best combat system From has ever made.

Sekiro tested my reflexes to the max and I’m afraid to say ultimately defeated me (damn you Genichiro!). Had a blast with it though and it’s on sale so tempted to give it another try. Loved everything about it but that parry session wrecked my patience.

I could never get it to 'click' with me, it was always a case of first enemies...dead..then dead again..then...dead again. I played again last week and was actively watching their moves then attacking, then thought I can go one step further and I did, now here I am loving it. Just had to get over that first hurdle.

I have seen Sekiro, Never played it - I think I will probably love that game too when I get around to it by the sounds of it

If you can beat Geni, you can beat the game so absolutely stick with it:D There are some amazing fights later on that are much harder but super satisfying. Went through the game four times with different endings getting all achievements and loved every second.

Yeah, that's the key, some observation and learning and it'll click. You just get sucked into the setting and lore, exploring without handholding and getting into all the secrets the game has to offer. Wish I could play it again for the first time.

Not many games currently out can compare regardless of how good their story or graphics are, they rarely amount to something as mechanically and stylistically coherent as this game. The most important elements to a satisfying experience are all top-not here and you just have to play The Old Hunters DLC before you hit NG+. It's even better than the main game.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderland. Had it on my wish list for ages waiting for a sale. It’s pretty cool with some neat ideas. Loving it so far. Nice change of pace from Diablo 4!

So, it's faster than glacial ? ;)

I've always been interested in TTW ; but every time I look at user reviews the reviews are mixed. Sounds like the DLC in particular is underwhelming.

Not sure. Just liked the sound of it and Gearbox have always put out decent stuff. It’s basically Borderlands with magic and guns.

Had a couple of hours on Exoprimal yesterday. Interesting concept and quite different to anything i've played before. Action is intense, hard to figure out what is going on. Missions are random apparently but I kept on doing the same thing just with a different map everytime. Story is trash and your protagonist doesn't talk during cutscenes which are unlocked by progression and progression just being slaughtering dinosaurs in a team of 5, timed against another team of five doing the same thing. Then fighting the team of five after a few rounds. It's all a bit same same. Like so so many of these straight to game pass titles, they are fun for a little while but you'd be very disappointed if you paid full price for it. I can't see who wins here. Games like this aren't selling subs, players aren't going to put 100+ hours into it and the developers just succeed in putting out something absolutely bang average.
