I don't even know what half of what you said even means.. I'm not sure I'll have any more success with T8 and the last few! I've fairly casual when it comes to fighting games, not really into the competitive side.
No worries, I assumed you played some more.
I think you might actually have an easier time in 8 as what I've written basically means it's much easier to rush someone down pressing like a madman
They have this new system called Heat and every character has a set of moves that go into it even if the move gets blocked and then you auto dash towards your opponent like your **** is on fire
You have big frame advantage then (which means your moves come out before your opponent, let's say he's -8, no matter what he does, your move will always come out 8 frames faster) and can mix them up, for example with a low attack or a mid attack that's a launcher etc. They have to guess basically because you can't block both options the same way.
There's massive chip damage on some moves as well, so defending is just not that viable anymore. Your health gets chipped away on block and you can get it back only by attacking. The recoverable bar can get nullified then with every attack you get hit with.
They also reduced the execution on some things and nerfed backwards movement. Lots of technical things are easier now. This might be the most casual Tekken yet so far and the nonsense it has resembles a 2d fighter at times.
It'll still take a lot of work and the problem is people have been playing Tekken for decades so you'll surely run into proper monsters but you can always find new players and train with them.
You can get pretty far with some basics and learning.
