Titan is down to £788, would make £600 for the 780 seem even more steep?
Half the vram, less cores... Oh well, in 6 months the 780 will probably be a decent price
. Imagine what performance the Maxwell cards will have if the 780 / Titan is the flagship. GTX 880 is going to be a monster for sure..The prices could be place holders though. Gibbo did says prices can change anytime up until the very minute the NDA is lifted...we can hope I suppose.
What worries me the most about this, is if AMD do what they did with 7900 launch pricing vs the GTX580. See it as 'our card is faster so lets go in at those prices' kind of attitude.
We can hope though, as gregster pointed out earlier in the thread, Nvidia are fairly consistent with pricing on x80 cards.

Oh na I was trying to show that Nvidia have been trying to push prices up in the past but AMD would counter and keep the prices low. This time Nvidia know AMD have their hands tied with other projects and have got a bit of time with no competition. Let the fleecing commence !!

Yeah prices being leaked now, not looking good for us in the UK. I would say £500 will be the absolute minimum we will see 780's priced at, that might be being optimistic aswell.. Pair of 760 ti's is the way forward for moi..
$719.12 = £473.47 + 20% VAT = £568.16 + Hike = £575 - £600?

You'd think after not wanting to lose any more ground to AMD after their free games promo, that pricing would be competitive & enticing to customers.

The only price drop I could see would be a few quid off the 7950, the 760ti looks set to come in around that price with ~670 perf. So AMD might want to spoil that party too.
All this talk of astronomical pricing could cause all sorts of problems for nvidia, especially if the rumors of AMD releasing a 20nm part later this year are to be believed.

they pay Vat in euroupe (~18-23%) and it looks like thats already been added as it says "your price", so ~£475 + hike

That price I showed was in dollars bud, as in not part of Europe..
We really don't know what it's going to be until we see retail price here. Just speculating.. Based on everything we've seen so far, it's looking very expensive.. £500+ (At least). Would love it if it was cheaper...

It makes you wonder though... for them to charge that price it must perform really close to the titan, no?
But again the Titan was the price positioning Nvidia set for the rest of the 700 series gpu line up. It makes you feel like they positioned the Titan so highly so they CAN charge higher prices for the rest of the cards that follow it.
It makes me sad that the gpu industry is going this way.

Agreed, the only thing to consider is that even the midrange cards from the 7XX series, I.e GTX 760 // GTX 760 Ti are enough for most gamers. Above and beyond that are hardly what you would call necessary, especially at 1080P.
The GTX 760 Ti is set to give GTX 670 performance, possibly better. If it comes in at a decent price then at least Nvidia are still giving bang for buck to the average gamer..
Sure prices at the high end will tumble when AMD get new cards out. I certainly wouldn't want to spend £500+ on a 780 now only for AMD to blow it away in a few months..
Looking forward to bagging a pair of 760 Ti's.. EVGA's with backplates, clock the **** out of them

Considering AMD started this trend I'm not getting my hopes up that the 8000 series will be significantly cheaper.
You mean starting the trend of charging a hefty premium for their high end card when the other company has no competition at that level? Then I think you will find that Nvidia started that trend.
