My goodness, only 49w more than the V64 (and less at stock, kek) for so much performance. The 2080ti must be about the most power efficient chip out there.

I am sticking with my 1080 for now i play @1440p with G-Sync so no real point in upgrading for me.

Disappointed with the 2080 performance and the 2080Ti is way out of my price range.

I want more from my 3440 x 1440 UW than what my 980ti gives me but not sure whether to go 1080ti or 2080ti. 2080 was an option until the benchmarks were release.

I'm curious... What kind of games do you play on that display currently and if you were to upgrade your card fairly soon what games would you play on that resolution?

You heard it here first peeps!! 71% price increase for a 15% performance increase 1080ti vs the 2080ti.

It's safe to say ?

Not safe to say. All the several videos I've watched so far have the average performance increase higher than that. I've just watched BitWit and he has the average increase between 1080ti to 2080ti at 36.8% at 4k. Paul's Hardware was talking about performance per dollar.

1080ti at that res is sweet...why spend another 600 quid on 30% more grunt?

Madness

Wouldn't competitive fps be great at that resolution with more grunt? Imagine 3440 x 1440 240Hz/250fps locked, even Quake Champions. All that fov with all that fps.

1080ti beats the 2080 in most games. 2080ti 25 percent quicker than 1080ti. 2080 pricccccce drop..:p

Lol which alternate reality are you in? The 2080 beats 1080Ti in virtually all games except GTA V i think it was? And the 2080Ti is 40% faster not 20%. ;)

Yeah this launch has been awful. The worst I've ever seen for sure.

Only devotees will buy these cards, and that's fine. One day I might pick one up cheap on MM to have a play xD

Maybe AMD will bring something a bit more exciting price / performance wise in future.

In the meantime, move along nothing to see here...

Your post stinks of irony. AMD's Vega launch made Turing look like a picnic! But have fun waiting until late 2020 for AMD's radeon department to release a gpu that can compete against a 2080.

I expect used £1080ti prices to go up again now everyone knows the card Is right on par with the £750-£800 2080

Well that's not happening considering their is still a mad rush of people selling their 1080ti's on Ebay. :D

*Up to* 30% at 4K, less at 1440p

Wrong. It's 35% at 1440p and 42% at 4k. Source: HardwareCanucks.

I think I will cancel my pre-order for the gtx 2080, keep my gtx 1080ti and hold out for a cheap 2nd user 2080ti.....other wise it is a side grade by the looks of things.

You must be really uninformed considering people have been saying that for weeks. The 2080 is the upgrade for current 1080 owners not 1080Ti...

Congratulations to Nvidia, nobody thought they could make a high end dual axial fan cooler that performed just as bad as a reference blower, but they found a way ^^

Seriously, how do you **** that up? lol.

What on earth are you babbling about? The RTX FE cooler is great and better than the pascal FE cards in every possible way.

wonder if Jensen is getting sweaty palms watching all those reviewers benchmarks saying don't buy it :)

But they didn't? OC3D, KitGuru, HardwareCanucks and others gave RTX cards a positive review.

According to ComputerBase, the 2080 offers around the same performance as a 1080 Ti. This is absurd, as you can get deals on 1080 Ti's for £550-600 whilst the 2080 is £730! So pay £130 more for performance of a 1080 Ti you could have got 1.5 years ago. Nvidia are having a laugh.

£130 is nothing for a superior and more future proof card.

If i was you i would go with the 1080Ti but if you have more money than sense then go 2080Ti.

If he can get one cheaply then i'd agree. 1080Ti beats the 2080 in pretty much everything once both are fully overclocked.

The only way it will pick back up is with DLSS, how well it performs and the time it takes to be fully implemented.

For me I want to play the new COD which when i played the beta over the weekend it struggled to achieve 50fps on ultra settings. Also the new Tom Clancy Division when that arrives. Currently playing BF1 mainly.

Performance is pretty good. Pricing is awful.

If the 2080 was ~£550 at launch like the 1080 and the 2080ti was more like £750 i think we would all be pretty happy with the 2xxx series.

As it happens ~£800 for a 2080 is lol money, and is Nvidia simply taking advantage of zero competition.

Wow.. just wow, new levels of delusion confirmed... It's hilarious this guy has literally made an account to just defend this rubbish.

You weren't alone. A lot had fps issues with COD4.

The fov must be sweet with those games though.
