Gigabyte RTX 2080 Ti Windforce sounds like dishwasher

Thank you for your persistence. I've just applied the update and Aorus Engine still says version F3 but now if I check for a BIOS update, it says, 'Detecting update information is failure. Please try later again.' The BIOS version in GPU-Z is still 90.02.0B.40.1B. If I turn the case fans off the dishwasher noise is still there. GPU-Z indicates that the GPU fans jump immediately to 33%.

I'm jinxed! :)

Hi again. I have exactly the same card as Quartz and exactly the same symptoms. (I said in an earlier post I was going to return the card, but had other priorities so didn't get around to it.)

Just like Quartz, after applying the update on Dropbox, Aorus Engine shows F3 and the BIOS update within Aorus Engine now says "Detecting update information is failure. Please try later again" - in other words, somehow the update process within Aorus Engine no longer works.

Appreciate your persistence Gigaman, but if you could kindly ask your HQ to try again (and preferably issue a BIOS update that actually works!), that would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm pushing the R&D team on this, I will collect a unit of the card to test any new BIOS on before I send anything to you guys. It's Chinese New Year now so will be at least a week before I get another update.

Will make sure this does get resolved for you model too.

Would be be the issue im having? I have the RTX 2060 Windforce edition and when the fans spin up its like a marble inside an empty dishwasher noise for a few seconds. Its driving me CRAZY! I have set up an RMA but i will be asking for a refund if this is common on all Windforce cards.

A workaround is to have case fans blowing, but then you get the noise of the case fans.
I set an afterburner profile to set the fans to sit at 30% instead of turning off, removes the rattle BUT in my eyes this is an issue and i spent close to £1500 making a silent PC exactly how i wanted it and it shouldnt be happening to a brand new £360 card.

I've just tried to apply it and it did nothing for me. Aorus Engine says I'm still on F3. Note that one of the previous updates may have bollixed my card.

Aorus Engine shows version F5 for my card. I downloaded the BIOS directly from the Gigabyte page I linked in my previous post. I did not download it via Aorus Engine.
If I change my fan mode from semi-passive to active I still get the "dishwasher" sounds (see red circle on the left panel). This is ok for me though since I don't see a reason against using semi-passive mode. This seems to be a reasonable fix for me.

If the BIOS will still not update, we can try and do it here for you.

I tried it again. This time the BIOS update did work. BUT

I ran Aorus Engine and it started fine and showed me with BIOS F5 so I switched the card to silent mode. All three monitors blanked and I had to force the power off.

On restart I started Aorus Engine and it maxxed CPU core #0 which stayed maxxed. I opened Task Manager and ended Aorus Engine. I then re-ran Aorus Engine and all three monitors blanked and I had to force the power off. I have not restarted Aorus Engine since.
