Girlfriend mad at me.

If there's usually no friction between the two of them, and your girlfriend is not usually one to completely lose her **** over trifling things, then it's probably best for this occasion to just take your medicine and apologise profusely to girlfriend and be cognisant of the triggers here.

It's not always so, and usually some extra introspection is worthwhile but, from time to time, women just do be crazy.

My suspicion is that this isn't entirely out of the blue, though, one way or another

Well she keeps saying one as to go but where both still her not talking much but think it could ride over at the weekend

Suck up to her and sort it out over the weekend. If you're married, she'll take you to the cleaners, even though she says she won't at first - it's only a matter of time before her mates and family put ideas into her head.

Op's mum shoul dtell daughter's mum that, if she was a good mum, she would pick up her daughter herself. Her anger should be directed at herself, instead of helpful Grandma.
