Why would anyone with half a brain chose a 3 door Golf R? Why do VW even bother offering one? I can see the point in a 5 door but surely if you dont want 5 doors the Scirocco is better?
Not everyone likes the scirrocco?

Perhaps other manufacturers should follow suit. Not everyone likes the A3 so why not produce a version with a different kink in the rear wing and a different bonnet profile?
You do realise the big difference between the Golf and the Scirrocco is the lack of 4WD on the latter...

But then I guess this is VW. I am guessing they did it deliberately so they'd actually be able to sell some Golfs?
Calibra - Cavalier
Fiesta - Puma
Corsa - Tigra
No name but a few.

My Dad has a Scirocco, and its horribly impractical, as alex mention, the rear is extremely small, the boot isn't much cop, either.
On the other hand, you have a five door golf, which, forgive me for being presumptuous, I imagine is a lot more practical in terms of rear access, space and boot space.
