Just called up about mine, they're meant to have been here by the 17th, but taylormade don't have the sandwedge available, so I'm having to wait until late Jan - as they don't allow them to break-up the order.
:o

Bought an approach/gap wedge to go with my irons.
(Even though my iron set isn't going to arrive until mid-end Jan)

Played a round yesterday having not hit a ball for weeks. Slice was probably worst it’s been for a long time. Had some good shots but far outweighed by the bad. Random shots just being shanked. Swing path all over the place.

Time to get some lessons and more practice in 2022!

Got out for a game yesterday, after feeling like I've improved with all the practice I've been doing, as well as lessons.
1st score, in September was 130~
2nd score, in October was 110
Yesterday's score, was 97:

Very happy with the improvement.
Ended up having a lesson straight after the 18 yesterday, very long day of golf, but made some great swing speed improvements in my lesson!
This game is addictive!

Spoke to Lefthandedgolf.co.uk today to look at finally placing the order for my custom built irons and fairways that I was fitted for last August. Turns out I waited too long as Taylormade Sim2 Max Irons are now OOS for custom and only a few reg flex prebuilts left. They have advised I rebook a new fitting in March/April and look at what I can get in 2022 clubs. Time for some lessons for a few months first I guess so should work out fine.

I was fortunate to be able to spend December in Thailand and to get in six rounds of golf. To really rub it in here is a pic of a par 3 I had the joy to play

That looks quality. Was it a requirement that you had to have one of their caddies with you?
As always in Thailand. I managed to be first one out in the morning twice in four days and was able to get round in under three hours both times playing on my own with a cart and the same caddie. Unusually it was a male caddie and he actually provided really good green reads.

Course is Soi Dao Highland near Chantaburi in the south east of Thailand.

That's a tricky looking hole with all those bunkers hugging the green! How long was the hole?

Beautiful though.

It was around 185 that day to the flag, slightly downhill. The course as a whole - as with most golf in Thailand - is beautifully maintained and because you have to have a caddie, you don't find pitchmarks on greens, or footsteps in bunkers. Divots are immediately filled with topsoil and grass seed.

And the best bit - green fee, buggy and caddie fee plus a decent tip for the caddie and the whole thing is less than £50.

looks amazing - stunning value as well.....

Dads club order after custom fit in August has just been cancelled. They rang him to say delivery pushed back from Feb to April but not actually expecting to receive them.

Damn this shortage. That is me unable to even order and his basically unavailable.

He has been offered a free repeat fitting to pick another set but who know if/what is even possible to get. He waited nearly a full 6 months to be let down and wanted them for his birthday in Feb and the new 2022 season.

Guess we both have to go try the new 2022 sets when available and hope for better stock/production.

yeah - tough times - Like I say, I ordered last April i500, discontinued in June, refitted ordered I210's June, discontinued Sept, then refitted again and ordered Mizuno JPX 921 Forged in Oct - got them mid december.

So 3 sets and 8 months almost.
