it's amazing the delay in actually ordering a set.
I'm glad I waited before ordering so that I got the right club for me.
i210 was my first choice but when they were discontinued I changed and after hitting the T100s they felt a million times better.

Mine are due to be delivered mid Feb. Just in time for the new season to start.
Just need to sort my swing out now as I've gone backwards massively lately :(
 
Bit of a statistics question, with regards to scoring.
When you're just in the rough outside of the green and you use a putter to drop it as close to the hole as you can, do you count that as a putt or do you count it as a chip?
It's about 60/40 for me, most of the time i'll chip it on with my PW, but sometimes I'll opt to use my putter.

Looking at my statistics, I'm trying to lower my putting scores, so those putts from the rough are making putt totals worse. Should I be counting them as putts or simply because they're not on the green, are they still considered a chip?
A bit of a nothing question, but thought I'd see what others were doing...

Anything NOT on the green/fringe wouldn't count as a putt even if using putter for me. That's the way my shotscope works the stats I believe.
 
A shot with a putter from off the green is not a putt. A shot with a wedge on a green is a putt. It's not the club you use but the location of the shot.

I can start recording my scores more accurately now.

Started on TopSpeedGolf by Clay Ballard last week (20 Minute Distance Fix) - It's basically a course on how to increase speed.
I've already gained 13MPH on my driver swing. Woop!
 
Name and shame a badly run course:

Pedham Place yesterday in Kent; 7 minute gaps between tee times, course rammed with four balls. Supposed to tee off at 12:43, but due to the sheer volume of golfers, waited on nearly every shot despite there not being any obvious gaps ahead and barely managed 15 holes before it became too dark to see (sunset 16:20).

7 minutes is too short. How long are the gaps in the tee times at your club?
 
8 minutes here too.
Even though I've only played 5-6 games there, most people tell me to play through - I guess it helps playing on your own most of the time!
I don't seem to see many four balls, mostly 2-3 and the odd loner like myself.
 
More delays with my TM clubs, they were due in today.
Called up the store, they are being built as we speak, so next due in around 7-10 days from now.

Seen these advertised various places and thought I'd give them a go.

Got my GX gloves today - got say - initial impressions - Very impressive.

I honestly think I would struggle in a blind feel test to tell the difference between the new titlest and the gx. Soft, comfy, good fit (same size as normal glove)

Obviously wear and tear hasn't been tested yet but over all can't complain in the slightest for £24 for 3 gloves. Compared to around £15/£17 for a single titleist.

 
Took the new clubs upto Three Hammers golf complex yesterday to get some yardages via TopTracer.
Hit approx 150 balls.

Here are my yardages. Ignore the 9/PW/GW as I was using this to chip to a target so not really full swing.
8 Iron I'll easily gain an additional 5 - 10 yards to make up the gapping.

Over all I am pretty pleased with the averages. 5iron - 8iron I hit 30 balls each.

Also these were all off the mat and not off a tee
