You're striking is no doubt about 10-15mph faster than mine, by the looks of things. Nice gaps though, do you manage to hit similar stokes when you're on the course?

Got a question for you chaps, I've got membership to a little course near me. I played in a tournament, which was full of seniors. I was dropped into a four-ball with people I've never met and I enjoyed it. Interestingly, there's a 'rule' where you're not supposed to stand on someone's line on the green.
They played 'ready play' rather than whoever is furthest from the hole and a couple of times I stepped on someone's 'line' to the hole and they got annoyed. :D
I still laugh to myself now. Is this the same everywhere? Said person is apparently always moaning about something, so I'm not at all bothered, just wondering whether these rules exist anywhere else?

ps. The greens are terrible and I just don't see it causing any issue with the putt IMO.

Yeah it's just polite, like not talking in someone's backswing. It happens but something to be mindful of as your body weight could affect their putting line due to the depression left my your shoes/spikes.

That said, they will always miss those putts and blame you, the wind, the scuff on their ball - not the fact they just hit a bad putt.

yeah - polite to "avoid" the line they are likely to putt on - However I would say on winter greens/January greens, the state of the greens is way more likely to affect a putt than you stepping on their line. Summer time I would certainly make a joke out of someone standing on my line, to make my point.

Need to get some more data/yardages for my new irons - feel like they are going a little further but only got 3 rounds on the shorter course to compare with all my data at the moment. Lots of driver wedge holes on that course so very little useful data so far.

Hahaha, I just found a post with a bunch of people adamant it's a rule, rather than etiquette. I'll keep this in mind when I play the next little comp.
When you're in a four-ball and everyone's on the green, it looks impossible not to stand on someone's line, especially in ready-play. I'm sure if I thought about it enough, I'd feel uncomfortable with my own putting to a point.

I'll just stick to going last and they can wait for my 3-putt at the end. :p

Play ready golf but if it means standing on someone's line just say "I'll wait and let you give me a free read" - that'll either wind them up more, or in my groups case, get a laugh.

I've not been out on the course yet with my new irons but definitely getting those distances with my old set.
I imagine when the weather warms and the course drys the yardage would be pretty accurate.

The garmin r10 is immense!
I love the stats. I can easily see where I’m going wrong now and I can focus on fixing these elements.
The really cool thing is the course play. I now take it to the range and set it up behind me and play through some local golf courses I know, as it tracks my shots super accurately!

You still enjoying the R10 @MarkA

Tempted to get one I must admit...

Watched loads of videos etc and this seems to be the best option overall.

It's very good yes! Not the best for in my garage, as it doesn't have the space to pick up every ball - but it picks up most.
At the range though, it's perfect!

It's fun if you want to blast through a round or two in an hour, on the subscription based "Home Tee Hero".
It's really good for helping you work on keeping your shots straight and receive distance measurements.
When my new clubs arrive, I'll be using it a lot, to get some good averages on each club, using around 100 odd balls per club, if I can.
I've not used it so much in the last couple of weeks though, as I've purchased membership to a nice little 9-hole course and I've been going there on lunch break instead.

On that note, I hit my best score yesterday, of 9 over on 9, (4 pars, 3 bogeys and 2 triple bogeys).
Went out today to try and beat that, started off really strong - had 2 pars, 5 bogeys, then I got to hole #8: my nemesis. Ended up shooting 10 on the narrow par5. Finished up with a bogey on the 9th. If I hadn't ended up behind a tree off my drive, I think I woulda ended up with a 7 over for the 9 - which woulda been by far my best score. Back at it tomorrow, as long as it doesn't rain!

Got 4 hours to kill tomorrow whilst my daughter is in Glasgow so will head to the range for a bit.

Got one of these to play with in my G425 Max driver

https://kbsgolfshafts.com/shop/kbs-td-driver-wood-shaft/

Local guy selling a bunch of shafts - Admits to being a golf junkie (he's got a loft lie machine in his garage!!) - I think it's likely to be too stiff for me (Cat 5 version - Tour X Stiff) - But he was happy to loan it to me pending a few hits.

Will give it a rumble. Glasgow Range is a full trackman one - Driving Range

Be interested to hear how the shaft plays compared to your normal, give us an update when you get a min.

Trackman range in Glasgow - however, Was 0 degrees/sleet/snow and 25 mph left to right wind today!! Mental

Nice ability to press a button behind your bay to put a heater on mind you!!

Obviously numbers etc mean nothing in that weather/range balls etc. Also had 4 layers on so not exactly "peak" performance stuff today!!

Feel of the KBS shaft in the driver was nice - I "felt" it was more stout than the Tensei Orange, could feel the head a little bit more in the swing - could feel where it was if that makes sense. Didn't feel like an tour X-stiff - felt stiff but not crazy stiff....

Not sure can take anything from distance/dispersion at all today - hard to see the ball at times in the snow!

Will need to test on course when weather improves a bit more (OR just buy the R10 garmin I've been after for a while!)

That sounds expensive to setup!
Is it the full monty for trackman? Giving you distance, as well as in-out, AoA, club speeds etc?

No swing path data - It records ball speed, launch angle, launch direction, height, carry, total distance, side and from distance to pin.

Enough information to keep me interested.....
