I'm stil rocking my £20 irons from two years or so ago :D

Should really look at buying a better set at some point.

Titleist TS3 Driver
Titleist TSi2 F3
Titleist TSi2 F5
Titleist TSi2 H5
Mizuno JPX921 Forged 5-PW
Titleist Vokey 52, 56, 60
Odyssey Putter
Titleist Staff Bag
Titleist AVX or TourSpeed ball.

nice setup.

in love with my jpx 921 forged irons - so good

Thanks, I like mine too. But I only "like" them; I was in "love" with my MP68 but my swing slowed down a touch and centre strikes became a little rarer and so some forgiveness was needed and I bought the JPX. Still have the MP68 and will probably go back to them when the weather improves.

Driver fitting today....Lots of waffle below from me - The geek in me i guess....

Got to play with lots of toys.... Like I say - Happyish with current Ping G425 Max 10.5 stiff but spin was a bit on the high side most of the time. (3400/3500) - felt there was a potentially a better option out there as G425 was off the shelf purchase.

Thankfully it was a generally a decent hitting day. Striking the ball fairly well. I hit 8-10 balls with each and never looked at the numbers so there was no "influence" etc - Just hit and compare after.

So Callaway Rogue Max and Callaway Max LS drivers....

Hit them fairly solid both of them, switched shafts around a bit, 55/65g, but nothing particularly exciting about them - solid clubs but didn't find much change from existing and both felt a little "dull" off the face.

Taylormade Stealth driver - Interesting with the Stiff shaft I hit it fairly solid bit spin was up still and dispersion was a bit wilder...... Tried X-stiff - Spin came down to a better range 2400/500 Average - but again was pretty large dispersion which isn't idea.

Certainly again didn't feel like a "huge" leap forward in tech with the Carbon face - Nothing earth shattering, sound was nice but feel felt dead to me. Looks lovely at address to be fair. Certainly no longer than my existing driver setup.

Titliest - Secretly hoping this would be the one as I love the look of them. TSi3 - beautiful to look at, lovely feel off the face, great feedback, spin fell off a cliff - 9 good hit balls, average spin 1800!! Cranked up the loft a bit but still very low spin numbers...

Tsi2 version - good, very solid, felt nice and spin was decent but distance was a bit "meh" - nothing to get excited about. Felt lovely but the slightly "squashed" head on the Tsi2 doesn't look as nice as the 3 behind the ball.

Kept till last - G425 LST......

Sound and feel obviously the same as current Max setup. I heard the pro chuckling in the background as I was hitting this- The magic formula had been found

G425 LST Stiff, 9 degree with Aldila Rogue White 130 MSI 70 Stiff shaft....

Hit it great - 2500 average spin, 92 ft peak height, and almost 10 yards carry/15 yards further overall than current setup......

Like I say - great to get some others to play with but I do like the Ping and I'll go and order the LST version as I should get a decent trade in got my Max version. Also got a spare shaft for it to sell so shouldn't be much of a cost difference overall.

I'll update if anyone is interested with the trackman data when I get it.Driver fitting today....Lots of waffle below from me - The geek in me i guess....

Wanting some new irons love my TM m2s not sure I’ll gain much in honestly I’d just prefer more feel. Currently off 18.5 the thing that puts me off fitting is wait on new sets

Bets are on.

I'm genuinely hyped for Master - So many good players in the mixer - Tiger back, Can't wait for the weekend!

E/w bets (1/5 odds for top 10) - Brooks, Hovland, Cam Smith, Fitzpatrick and Homa

I suspect he'll suffer, play badly and pull out on an injury on Saturday.

I genuinely hope he doesn't hurt himself but I suspect that Augusta is not a good pick for a comeback given how rusty he will be, how incredibly tough the challenge is, the predicted cold weather, etc. I hope he plays OK but I do fear for him.

In other Masters news, I'm pulling for Rory, Tommy or Casey.

Haha. On another note today I put a £20 free bet I had on Rory not to make the cut.
He's been so useless recently I suspect he'll have a meltdown. I hope Tommy does well, watching him on some Rick Shiels vidz, he seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Chased up with retailer today and irons due in end of may. 3 wood is there now so shipping that out. Vokeys due in 2 weeks.

Retailer did have a set of irons in that matched my specs apart from my grips. I have 3 wraps on and these are stock standard. Right shafts and lie tho. Didn’t fancy the cost to regrip the stock ones they have to save 6 weeks so going to wait which is all the more painful as I could have had them for this weekend if I paid the extra.

Off for an Easter weekend at the Ashbury golf resort, different 18 holes everyday. Going to be a lot of fun, been practicing hard and getting better but the only thing I need to sort out is my course management.. Can self destruct a round to easily.
